When it comes to education, be bold enough to dream and brave enough to try. Whether it's switching majors, applying to a dream university, or pursuing an advanced degree, we all have academic goals that can feel out of reach. But playing it safe won't lead to growth. This quote reminds us that achieving our educational dreams requires audacity to envision what we want and courage to take risks that get us there. There will be hard work, late nights, and plenty of hurdles along the way. Despite the challenges, we must continue stepping outside our comfort zones and trying anyway. Our futures are shaped by both dreaming boldly AND persevering bravely. Believe in your academic visions and keep striving - you’ve got this! 💻www.graduate.mv #GraduateMaldives #GraduateMV

Five months ago, I graduated as a fellow from Millennium campus fellowship. here is a take for you as an undergraduate student: 1. You must extend your impact beyond the class room. 2. your Degree is not enough to earn you income. entrepreneurship skills is very important for you. 3. learn to participate in extracurricular activities on campus, it gives you more experience, exposures, networking opportunities and employability skills. 4. You must write your final year long essay by your yourself. I feel so bad when I see students paying people to write there long essay. the importance of writing a long essay is to help your academic writing and teach you how to conduct research. 5. finally Cultivate the Habit of saving money. it severs as life safer after you have graduated. avoid exorbitant spending. #student #impactmaking #education #finalist #mcf #aaua

From a 177 JAMB score to achieving a Distinction in my Master's degree My academic evolution serves as a testament to the profound impact of mindset, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. It was a defining moment during my undergraduate days, precisely in my 300 level, when I publicly declared that I would never again settle for a 'B' grade in any course. The declaration was met with laughter and skepticism from some of my coursemates. Yet, little did they know that this seemingly audacious pledge would set in motion a remarkable transformation in my academic journey. I saw it as a challenge to overcome. Armed with determination, I embarked on a journey that would prove to be both arduous and immensely rewarding. The initial stages were characterized by perseverance and hard work. Recognizing the areas that needed improvement, I developed a strategic plan to enhance my academic capabilities. This involved seeking additional resources, collaborating with peers, and leveraging the guidance of mentors who played pivotal roles in shaping my educational trajectory. In my 400 level, I achieved a remarkable 4.92/5.0 CGPA—an accomplishment that reflected not just my academic prowess but the fulfillment of a promise made in the face of doubt. This exceptional performance marked the beginning of a consistent trajectory, where Distinctions became the norm rather than the exception. The Master's program proved to be a transformative experience, where the seeds of determination planted during my undergraduate years blossomed into academic excellence. Diligence, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for learning became my guiding principles. The challenges that once seemed insurmountable now served as opportunities for growth and development. My journey is not just a personal achievement; it is an invitation for others to embrace the transformative power of declarations and dedication. To anyone facing challenges or doubters, I say this: your journey is defined not by where you start but by the determination to rise above obstacles. Dare to declare your aspirations boldly, and let your actions be the echoes of your resolve.

🎓 A-Level Results Day – A Significant Milestone, but Not the Final Destination 🌟 To all the students receiving their A-Level results today – congratulations on reaching this significant milestone! Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have brought you to this point, and that's something to be incredibly proud of. For many, these results will open doors to exciting opportunities, whether it's university, an apprenticeship, or entering the world of work. But let's remember, while today marks a big step forward, it's not the only path to success. If your results aren't what you hoped for, don't be disheartened. Life rarely follows a straight line, and often, it's the unexpected detours that lead to the most rewarding destinations. Grit, determination, and a positive mindset can take you just as far – if not further – than any set of grades. Many successful people have faced setbacks early on, only to rise above them and achieve great things. Your journey is just beginning, and there are countless paths to explore. So, to all the students out there – well done! Regardless of your results, you've shown resilience and commitment, and that’s something to celebrate. Keep pushing forward, keep believing in yourself, and remember that your potential is limitless. 🌟 #ALevelResults #Determination #Resilience #NextSteps #Success #GrowthMindset https://lnkd.in/eeRzjd5J

What is your unfair advantage? After wrapping up my first semester in grad school, I have been reflecting on unfair advantages, a term, I first heard from productivity YouTuber, Ali Abdaal. It simply means using skills you have mastered or privileges you have to stay ahead of others. My undergraduate degree in Communications at Covenant University was thorough and I was able to sail through successfully. Still, I was thrown into the deep end with the rigorous Canadian academic standards. It was a sink-or-swim moment for me. Thankfully, I could keep my head above water because I had a few unfair advantages, like being somewhat good at writing. As an international student, several things threw me off and I had to learn, quickly; things that were familiar territory for some of my classmates who were accustomed to the North American educational system Some unfair advantages could be a photographic memory, research acumen, being fast at typing or superior communication skills. Most of them can be honed, a couple are innate gifts. Beyond academics, in personal situations, business or professional contexts, find your unfair advantages and use them to propel you towards your goals. As I reflect on my journey, I invite you to consider your unfair advantages. How have they shaped your academic or professional path? Share your thoughts below! #AcademicSuccess #UnfairAdvantages #LearningJourney #LinkedInReflection #MScJourney #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #NeverStopLearning #LangBusinessSchoolGradStudent

Doing life from a place unfamiliar, half way across the globe and with absolutely no one to sit down with and speak in the language that raised you is quite something. While I'm absolutely thrilled to be here and learning different ways of doing life, I can't help but wonder how my fellow Zimbos who've had to leave home for various reasons, most beyond their control survive this. Nothing beats the feeling of home, hot plats of isitshwala and the sound of khombis and choking from dust every morning. It's just who we are, it's who we've always been! All that aside.. I'm absolutely honored and really excited to be joing the Global UGRAD spring 2024 cohort at the Centenary College of Louisiana. The journey so far has been amazing and really eye opening. I'm learning how the Education system could definitely be more efficient, convinient and still effective. Education, especially at tertiary level should be as accommodative and as easy as possible, high quality ofcourse but there's no reason for us to struggle if there's an easier and more effective way of doing it. Right! My favorite course so far is Development Economics, obviously because I'm an Economics major but also because my brain is ever in a quest to better understand systems so as to understand possible solutions that would be proportionate to the problem. Learning about policy, structure, or GDP, HDI or where the world is going really in a diverse class with students from across the world is quite insightful and helps facilitate meaningful conversations around such pertinent issues. I'm very excited to see what else the semester has in store for me and I can't wait to come back home and share all these experiences.

Attended Bowen University, Iwo Advocate for Quality Education and Gender Equality||Finance Enthusiast
Embracing the Journey: From Striving to Thriving in Academics PART 1 As I reflect on my academic journey, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and accomplishment. Graduating from Bowen University with a degree in Accounting and Finance was not just a personal milestone but a testament to the power of perseverance, resilience, and the unwavering support of a community. From the very beginning, my academic journey was marked by challenges and opportunities for growth. The rigorous curriculum demanded not only intellectual engagement but also an extraordinary level of commitment and discipline. There were times when the weight of assignments, projects, and exams seemed overwhelming. Yet, it was during these moments of adversity that I discovered my inner strength and determination. Anytime I remember that my favorite line used to be, "I'm not knowledgeable academically, I can never have a good result", I do laugh but guess who had the best result in her final university exam? This girl—forever Favoured by God. Now, my thinking has changed, and I can beat my chest anywhere to say that I'm not a failure; I'm made for success. Truly, God's time is the best! Surviving in the world of academics required more than just hard work; it required a strategic approach. Balancing lectures, research, and personal life often felt like walking a tightrope. However, setting clear goals, staying organized, and maintaining a healthy routine were pivotal in navigating this complex landscape. It wasn't always easy, but it was always worth it. My academic journey has been a testament to the power of hard work, community, and resilience. As I transition into the next phase of my career, I carry with me not only the knowledge and skills acquired but also the invaluable relationships and lessons learned. Check out for part 2, in my next post (I had to cut it because of LinkedIn's word limit). #fyp #reflection #myacademicjourneypartone #bowenuniversity #FaithfulGod #alivingtestimony #agraduateperspective
