A solid interview process will provide you much more success than any list of benefits can... I'm working with a client currently who have their ducks in a row. Here's what they do: - Interview slots booked in the diary for each interviewer, each week. - Feedback following interviews within 24hrs. - Weekly call with myself to align on what they want to see more/less of. - Short 2-stage process with all key hiring managers present. Do you need more stages to assess suitability? Probably not. Do you need to move quickly to ensure candidate engagement? 100% Ultimately, you're either hiring or you're not - if you are, do it with intent💪. Does this sound like your current process? Let me know what works for you. #hiring #interviews

I lead a team who introduces the very best talent to leading organisations across permanent and contract recruitment
This one's for the hiring managers out there - In my 24 years in recruitment, one tip has consistently proven invaluable in the interview process: ask behavioural questions. Instead of just asking about skills and qualifications, delve into candidates’ past experiences. Questions like “Can you tell me about a time when…” or “Give me an example of how you handled…” reveal how candidates have tackled challenges and demonstrate their approach and skills in action. Understanding a candidate’s past behaviours can help predict future performance and cultural fit. It’s a powerful way to ensure you’re hiring the best person for the job. Good luck for those interviews! #HiringTips #InterviewProcess #RecruitmentInsights #BehaviouralQuestions #TheTalentExperts

Tired of Wasting Time on Interviews? Top Recruiters Swear by This One Trick In today's competitive talent market, a bad hiring experience can be a dealbreaker for top candidates. Professional chemistry and rapport are built during the interview process. They should be. However, when you're a candidate in an interview process, no matter how comfortable or casual or conversational any step of the process feels, do not lose sight of that YOU ARE INTERVIEWING. I've seen candidates get passed on at the final step because they became too comfortable in conversation. Remember, until you sign the offer and start on the first day, it ain't over. #seniorliving #assistedliving #memorycare #recruiter #recruiting #candidates #employees #hiringmanagers #interviews #opportunities #offers

To my hiring managers reading this... You need to streamline your interview process! 𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 places have 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 interview stages. This can hinder your chances of getting the best candidate for the role. Any more than 2 stages, the candidate may get disengaged and you’ll find that the top talent will be snatched up for another opportunity. So, slice the process down to 2 stages max. And if you have someone who ticks all the boxes, don’t hesitate! How many stages have you got in place right now? Do you agree with me? #Interview #Hiring #RecruitmentAdvice

Want to create a better interview experience for your candidates? 🤔 Here are 3 simple things you can do: 1️⃣ Keep the communication flowing! Regular updates (even if it’s just to say there’s no news yet) show you respect their time and effort and doesn’t make the candidate feel like they have fallen into a black hole or are being ghosted 👍🏽 2️⃣ Make it personal. Address candidates by name, and tailor your messages to them. A little effort goes a long way in making them feel valued and special throughout the process even the ones you don’t end up hiring. Remember those are the individuals that will make the most noise so why not give them something to talk about in a good way 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽 3️⃣ Streamline the process. A smooth, efficient hiring process reflects well on your company and leaves candidates with a positive impression, whether they get the job or not. Stop conducting 5-10+ interviews! If you require that many people to help you make a decision, it might be time to reassess your own interviewing skills as a manager 🤷🏽♀️ A little kindness and efficiency can make a world of difference! 💫💫💫 Found value in this post? How important is it that candidates impress you at the interview? One of the best hires I made for my team said she felt like she didn't go a good job at the interview, but I knew she'd be a homerun! People who are great at interviews are oftentimes great because they've done it so many times! The more you do something, the better you get at it. Who's not always great at interviews? The ones who have had a job most of the time. Look for potential in the candidates' answers and learn how to look beyond the rehearsed answers. 💡 I've made a list of questions that allow me to see beyond surface-level responses. These questions not only help candidates open up but also identify who might be the most suitable for the position.🔍 We all have our own way of interviewing, but having a starting point can really help.📄✨ 🎁Comment 'INTERVIEW' below if you’d like to receive my top 10 questions for finding outstanding hires. I know this is controversial, but if I'm sure it's not the right fit, I like to give that feedback while the interview is still going on. Saves everybody time. You just have to do it empathically.
