Our public auctions are live events that typically run for one or two days and are available to attend either in person or via our online bidding platform, which is live-streamed for your convenience. Our auctioneer will begin at Lot 1 in the catalogue and progress through to the end, accepting bids once each lot has been introduced. Depending on the size of the auction, this process may be divided into multiple sessions. Bidding can be conducted through online, telephone, absentee, and in-person means. Our auctioneer will start with a reasonable opening price, often based on pre-sale bids, and then take incremental bids from bidders until the highest bid is reached. The bidding ends when there are no more bids placed above a certain price, at which point the auctioneer will declare the lot 'Sold!' (assuming the reserve price has been met). If you are the winning bidder, we will contact you promptly following the auction.
