What did it tell us... ↳ Once again, Location! 📍the incumbent and KFC battled it out from opening bids of over R100,000/month to R420,000! McDonald's retaining the site. The Stormers ⚡️moving to the stadium has driven activity and uplifted the value of the surrounding properties. McDonald's are best place to understand the full value. ↳ Two kiosks 🏪 of around 20sqm near the taxi rank in Century City went for more than R40,000/month ⟹ even smaller properties , if well located, can be extremely lucrative for both landlord and tenant. Transport hubs have been the most lucrative locations since time in memorial. ↳ Foreshore Tower Block 🏢 lease of up to 99yrs went for R1m/month ⟹ With 25,000sqm of bulk this will change the Foreshore skyline and the Nelson Mandela Boulevard approach to the V&A intersection.
