Again, we call for sectors and governments to work together to address challenges like funding classrooms and facilities. Reports that distort the facts don’t help students and families. Independent school parents and communities contribute 86% of their capital works budgets nationally, about six per cent comes from the Commonwealth Government and eight per cent from State and Territory Governments. Independent schools educate one in six Australian students, and the vast majority receive no government funding at all for capital expenditure.

Independent Schools Australia (ISA) has called for a national conversation on increased funding and support for capital works in all schools to improve student outcomes and to provide a safe environment. https://lnkd.in/dCgq8jpS

The push for teamwork in funding education is vital Graham Catt. Impressive how much independent schools self-fund. Let's aim for honest, productive funding talks. Partnership is the way forward.
