These first months at Fairphone have been nothing short of inspiring. After over seven years of using Samsung products, I never imagined I would have to write this type of post. But after my recent experience, I feel compelled to share my story to warn others. Recently, I encountered an issue with my #Samsung phone — and it all started after a routine software update. A green line appeared on the display, clearly a result of the update itself. When I contacted Samsung and visited their #servicecenter, I was met with a lack of empathy and frustrating excuses. They confirmed there was no physical damage to my device, but because my warranty had expired six months ago, they told me I would have to pay for the display repair myself. How can a problem caused by the company's software update be my responsibility? What made the situation worse was the attitude of the #servicecenter & their #samsungcustomersupport personnel. The person in charge was disrespectful and dismissive, offering no real solution and even asking me to leave the store. After being a loyal customer for so long, it was disheartening to be treated this way. What’s even more troubling is that companies like OnePlus have gone above and beyond, replacing defective screens for their users — even outside the warranty period. Yet, Samsung Electronics a global leader in technology, refuses to take accountability for an issue clearly caused by their own software. This has gone too far. I used to have immense respect for Samsung, but after this experience, I can no longer support a brand that treats its loyal customers this way. I’ve had enough. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend Samsung to anyone. If you’re considering buying a Samsung device, think twice about the support you might (or might not) receive when things go wrong. Dear OnePlus Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service experience regarding my OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite. I opted for your Pick and Drop service on 5th January, trusting in OnePlus's reputation for reliability. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. While I received a call on 9th January informing me that my device was being checked, there has been no clarity or progress update since then. When I contacted the service center today, I was shocked to learn that they had no information about my case. Here are my concerns that remain unresolved: 1) Why is there no clarity about the status of my phone? 2) Why are the required parts unavailable, and what is causing this delay? 3) Why has no one from your team taken responsibility to address or resolve my issue proactively? 4) Why do I, as a customer, have to follow up repeatedly to get basic updates? It has been several days beyond the promised timeline, and I am still without my device or any concrete information about when it will be returned. This delay is causing significant inconvenience, and I expected better service from OnePlus. I request that you provide me with the following at the earliest: 1) A clear timeline for when my phone will be repaired and returned. 2) An explanation for the unavailability of parts and the reason for the delay. 3) A commitment to better communication and proactive updates moving forward.
