More than a vibe, it's a mindset. You know it when you talk, listen, and work with someone who also thinks this way. Coupled with a growth or abundance mindset (vs. scarcity) -- creativity and innovation flourish. And then what flourishes? Your business.

With a heavy heart I share the following:
With great sadness, we inform you of the passing of our highly valued colleague, Frank Budwilowitz. Frank was not only a reliable CFO, but foremost a truly wonderful person. He had a good sense of humor, was a proud and positive person and never hesitated to let you know when he disagreed with something. You could always approach him with your questions, and he would always take the time to help. Frank asked how you were first, and then how things were at work. Despite battling an illness for over a year and a half, he remained deeply involved with Levi9. We all hoped for a miracle, but unfortunately, that was not meant to be. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his children Sam, Luc and Julia. We wish them strength and courage during this incredibly difficult time. We will never forget Frank!

Waiting for Your Moment: The Power of Persistence When Martin Scorsese finally won his long-awaited Oscar for The Departed, he couldn’t help but ask Steven Spielberg, who was presenting the award, to double-check that there hadn’t been a mistake. "Are you sure?" he asked, almost disbelieving. And honestly, who could blame him? After all, he’d been nominated five times for Best Director and overlooked each time – even for iconic films like Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, and Goodfellas. While The Departed was brilliant, many of us felt there were other films in his career that were even more deserving of that recognition. But that’s the thing, isn’t it? Life doesn’t always reward us when we feel we’ve earned it. There are times when we might feel that we are more than deserving of recognition, but circumstances conspire against it. And when that happens, the real test is how we respond. Scorsese didn’t stop. He kept creating, kept doing what he was brilliant at, and eventually, his moment came. It’s a powerful lesson, one I’ve taken to heart. When life doesn’t immediately reward your hard work or dedication, don’t let it discourage you. Keep going, keep doing what you do best. There’s so much truth in the old saying – keep up the good work. Our moment of recognition will come. Just like Scorsese, we all have our time to make a comeback, to rise and claim what’s rightfully ours. Patience and perseverance always pay off in the end. #Patience #Perseverance #Persistence #Life #LifeLessons #MartinScorsese #Oscar

This captures the importance of D-Day so well.
We are all busy, but if you can spare just three minutes today, I encourage you to watch this remarkable oration. Andy Rooney landed on the beaches of Normandy, France, just days after D-Day—80 years ago. In 2004, he shared his firsthand account of "a day unlike any other." "It's hard for anyone who has been in a war to describe the terror of it to anyone who hasn't," Rooney said. “I remember their boots (sticking out). All the same boots on boys all so different.”

Sometimes We’re Called to Do More—for a Greater Purpose and a Greater Cause I want to take a moment to give a huge shoutout to Ryan Choura and the incredible team behind this initiative. Organizing a reliable way to deliver essential items and furniture to those impacted by the LA fires is a testament to what leadership and community truly mean. In a world often driven by metrics, deadlines and the next big project, it’s easy to forget that we’re all part of something bigger. But moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Sometimes, it’s not about profit margins or accolades—it’s about showing up for others when they need it most. Over 135 event professionals came together on this call, offering resources, ideas, and unwavering support. That kind of collaboration, driven by empathy and purpose, is what truly moves the needle—not just in business, but in life. To Ryan and everyone involved, thank you for being a shining example of how we can use our platforms, expertise, and networks to serve a greater cause. This initiative is a reminder to us all: success isn’t just measured in what we achieve but in what we give back. Let’s continue to look for ways to step up, lend a hand, and create a positive impact beyond our day-to-day. Together, we can achieve more.
I’m blown away by todays call … event people are some of the hardest / most willing to jump in group out there … together we achieve more 🙏🏼
