This Saturday morning, around 7:45 AM, I had one of those serendipitous moments that remind me of how connected our work and paths can be. Earlier this week, I had communicated with Dina Eisenberg JD EMBA CO-OP™ , a fellow ombuds, neither of us knowing that just a few days later, we’d randomly run into each other at the same conference center in Atlanta - me serving as the conference ombuds for a healthcare scientific research symposium focused on curing spinal cord injuries, and Dina attending a different healthcare-related conference on the same floor, also representing the field of Ombuds work. As I was walking by this morning, I spotted someone sitting there and hesitantly said, “Dina, is that you?” thinking, surely this can’t be Dina, who doesn’t even live in Atlanta. “That would be super special,” I thought to myself. Well, it was super special - it was Dina indeed! Two completely separate events, yet us both advancing the impactful work of ombuds in healthcare. What felt like a random encounter was anything but. I’ve learned that nothing is ever truly random or a coincidence- this was a divine message with a purpose, even if it hasn’t yet been revealed. Looking forward to what’s to come from this moment of alignment! #ombuds #healthcareombuds #conferenceombuds #spinalcordinjuryresearch #serendipity #purpose #divinemessages

Amanda G. Lewis and Zach Freed of Cuneo, Gilbert & LaDuca, LLP, along with Robert Kitchenoff of Weinstein Kitchenoff & Asher LLC, dropped a game-changer: an amicus brief on behalf of AAEM in ATS Tree Services v. FTC. Non-compete agreements are choking EM physicians, compromising patient care, and stifling innovation. AAEM is OWNING IT by taking the fight to non-competes. We're standing up for our physicians and demanding the highest quality of care for patients. It's time to break the chains and foster a healthcare environment that thrives on innovation and patient safety. #EndNonCompetes #AAEMOwnsIt #HealthcareRevolution #PatientFirst https://lnkd.in/g-NZKk3Y

Alright. Let's talk about what it means to offer patient-centered care... This treatment model not only focuses on the patient's condition and medical history, but also on the emotional, social & financial factors affecting their life. In a way, you can think of it as a partnership between you and our team! We're on your side. And your perspective is just as important as ours. How does that sound? #fortworthmoms #FortWorth #fortworthtx #Fortworthwhile #fortworthtexas #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapyassistant #physicaltherapytexas #physicaltherapylife

🚨 Advocacy Alert: Take Action to Fix Prior Authorization! 🚨 Medically necessary physical therapy services are being delayed, affecting patient outcomes due to lengthy prior authorization processes. The Improving Seniors' Timely Access to Care Act (H.R. 8702/S. 4532) can help by streamlining these processes, creating faster approvals, increasing transparency, and making it easier for healthcare providers to deliver the care older adults need. Please take 2 minutes to contact your representatives and ask them to cosponsor this critical bill. Your voice can make a difference in improving care for older adults and reducing delays!

When you visit your doctor, do you see the same friendly face each time? Or do you end up repeating your story over and over because appointments are rushed and doctors keep changing? When you can't build a strong bond with your doctor, it's easy for care to slip and things to get missed. Patients feel like they're just another name on a list, and doctors miss out on giving the continuous care we all want. ‼The answer? Focus less on rushing through appointments and more on building trust and connections with patients. Let's slow down, listen, and really examine patients. Let's treat them as individuals, not just cases to be solved quickly. Learn more about how Direct Primary Care at FreedomDoc at Westfield Premier can help!
