🌍 Exciting Insights from GTEN Training Course on Gas Turbine Emissions 🌍
I had the privilege of presenting with George Hajecek on gas turbine emissions reduction at the recent GTEN training course. Our MDS Gas Turbine Engine Solutions presentation covered key topics such as curtailing fugitive methane emissions, emissions monitoring, hydrogen fuel, and exhaust gas emissions treatment.
One of the major takeaways from the event was the increasing importance of dispatchable gas turbine power in grids alongside increasing renewable energy sources. As we integrate more renewables, the need for reliable and flexible gas turbine power becomes even more essential.
Fortunately, there are numerous innovative strategies to significantly reduce and even eliminate gas turbine emissions, ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
Let’s continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in emissions reduction and work towards a greener planet! 🌱

Gas Turbines for Energy Network (GTEN) 2024 Short Course, Mississauga
Last week GTEN held it’s 2024 Short Course on a variety of topics related to the role of Gas Turbines in the energy transition to decarbonization.
This was the first time we meet as a newly structured Not for Profit organization.
Kudos to all those that attended and all that presented. The course concluded with two tours of local power gen/pumping facilities.
A special thanks to Canavents and Manfred Klein for the organization of this event.
A lot of really strong and relevant technical content, as we work towards reducing emissions while maintaining power availability.
And of course MDS Gas Turbine Engine Solutions was there to present and participate!! Eddie Moretto and Patrick Sylvain#Decarbonization#GTEN
It was a pleasure to present at the Australian Energy Producers Conference and Exhibition today. There were some good responses to the options for CO2 capture from gas turbines.
We also had an interesting post-presentation Q&A on the broader issues and opportunities around decarbonisation in gas facilities.
