I don't remember all those complex math formulas I learned back in math class. Few do. But I feel the most benefit from math wasn't from memorizing useless formulas. It was about learning how to problem solve. The same is true with programming. Studying things like leetcode should not really be about seemingly useless formulas. It is about problem solving and discovering different approaches in doing so. I keep hearing complaints about the uselessness of leetcode interviews. Sure, they are not really real world scenarios. But from my experience, the interviewer doesn't care so much about the answer, But more about the way you process the problem in order to solve it. They want to know how you think. How do you solve problems? #developer #developerlife
