Corporate Sustainability is a hot topic these days. Many companies use impressive words like 'committed' and 'climate friendly’ and have lofty sustainability goals, but how many truly live up to these claims? Are they willing to walk the talk when put under the microscope? It's time to question why we still use materials without end-of-life options. Check out our post on sustainability and the circular economy: [Link to post] #sustainability #greenbuilding #circulareconomy Contact us if you are a true Circular Economy Fan and want to know more how saveBOARD could help you achieve your sustainability goals.
🌟 Did you know, only a few products truly offer an end-of-life solution, and our saveBOARD products are one of them! We offer a free take back service, however the client is responsible for sending them back to us (unless we are visiting) so we can remanufacture into new products🌟 Here's a list of common building materials and whether they have publicly available end of life options to all consumers: 👎 Plywood 🤞 Plasterboard - limited options 👎 Fiber cement 👎 OSB (Oriented Strand board) 👎 MDF The only real option for these materials is landfill, which isn't really a great outcome for the planet. This video shows first time users of saveBOARD in action as they install our Exposed internal linings. From installation to the remanufacture of offcuts into new products, saveBOARD ensures a sustainable future. 🌍🔄 #Sustainability #GreenBuilding #CircularEconomy #saveBOARD #EcoFriendly #ConstructionInnovation #Recycle #SustainableMaterials

Timber construction is set to change the future of building. By embracing a carbon-negative approach now, we can lead the way in sustainable development.
Because I grew up the Son of a Carpenter, these last 3 episodes on Sustainable Timber / Wood Products were lit! 🔥 (wait, maybe that's an inappropriate emoji...) The last three episodes of the CleanTechies Podcast have been about different timber-related companies. 🍄 #189 Ilya Gindin from COMU Labs making a plywood alternative from Mushrooms 🔨 #190 Eric Law from Urban Machine reclaiming old wood/timber to reuse it 🌐 #191 Ben Christensen from Cambium solving the supply chain barrier to upcycling wasted wood Being from the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and having grown up working with wood, I am a firm believer that we need to utilize timber to it's full sustainability potential. Trees grow out of the earth and are regenerating naturally. They are also an incredible product to use for building structures. With the advances in mass timber, we can build a lot of buildings using timber. Assuming the building doesn't burn down, the carbon is stored forever. There are cases like this where I am firmly in the make use of nature camp. We need to solve sustainability for concrete and steel, but we could also build a LOT more buildings out of wood/timber. Check out these episodes, as they are packed with amazing insights and incredible tech. #timber #sustainabletimber #masstimber (it's such a bummer I didn't make any of these recordings, but shout out to Somil Aggarwal for doing an incredible job on all of these)
