Team building is one of the most important things to do at work.
At RPCS, we’re believers in the sentiment “Teamwork makes the dream work.” Every month, our Kentucky warehouse Operations Manager Justin Smith tries to find some down time where everyone can participate in a team-building activity. This past month, Warehouse Supervisor Mark Tomes came up with the idea of “Human Foosball.” Much like the table-top game (but on a much larger scale), Human foosball requires the players in the game to move together as a team to score goals. With a score of 10-7, Team No-Vis took down Team Hi-Vis. #LifeatRPCS #SolarInMotion #Teamwork

Founder & Director of Lead Well (An executive communications agency) Empowering leaders (at all levels) to lead well | Offering Coaching, Content & Courses
My dad built this DIY bird feeder on his land next to our family home in Ireland. Originally he did not have the black box (if you can see it in the pic) and just the hanging bird feeder, but he noticed none of the Robins were coming to feed there. He did some asking around and learnt that Robins are ground eaters, they prefer to feed on bird tables or ground level. So he added the black box and sure thing the Robins started to come. When I was in Ireland watching the birds feed a few weeks back in got me thinking about how similar this is to leadership. We have so many different characters, cultures, dynamics at play when we lead a team that not all the same communication will work for each. I'm not just talking about communicating info differently to the board than to seniors leaders to field employees etc, though we need to consider that too. I'm talking about the differences even within those groups as well. Different mediums work for different people. Sometimes flying in to meet a country lead face to face is absolutely needed whereas a handwritten note to another will mean the world. Maybe your town halls only capture 5 per cent of your attendees, don't accept that, look at how you can change that. Mastering the art of flexible and meaningful communication styles means you connect and truly get to work well with all different types of people. So how are you going to adapt your bird feeder to ensure everyone is getting the info they need to meet the collective vision and mission? #leadershipgrowth #communicationstyles

The Strength of the Wolf is the Pack The life of a wolf is far from easy. Every day is a constant struggle for survival as these animals work to patrol miles of territory, take down large and dangerous prey, face harsh elements, and battle the constant threat of illness, injury, and disease. While it is possible for a lone wolf to navigate these challenges successfully, the odds of survival are drastically increased for wolves living in a pack and working as a team. In addition, packs operate in a manner that requires each member to contribute equally toward the group’s shared responsibilities. This manner of cooperative living works to alleviate the pressures on not only the pack leaders but on every member of the family. Ultimately, wolves understand that the pack’s survival relies on teamwork and that working together yields the greatest potential for success. Just like a wolf that works with its pack to be successful and grow, so can we as a team in the workplace. I believe that our team can work together to achieve our goals, leveraging our collective strengths and supporting one another to overcome challenges. Through collaboration and mutual support, we can reach new heights and ensure our collective success. #Teamwork #Leadership #Collaboration #Success #StaffDomain #TogetherWeAchieve #WorkplaceExcellence #TeamGoals

It is time for each Australian to step up, use their minds to think through and problem-solve to take personal responsibility with action. Our culture has slipped into a 'group think' state of mind without question. The tail is wagging the dog, and people following like sheep. #JoannaBryant states it so eloquently in this short presentation https://lnkd.in/gCgcsM8f
