In the midst of the recent discussions surrounding the Canada International Students cap and the associated uncertainties, we are excited to present the Canada International Students Job & Internship Fair 2024, a premier event designed to change career opportunities for international students in Canada. This gathering is set to welcome companies not only from Canada but also from diverse corners of the world, creating a dynamic platform for students to connect with global industry leaders. Traditional career fairs often target local company and not international companies, both citizens and non-citizens, creating an environment where international students may feel apprehensive about competing with candidates who are native speakers or do not require work permit. Many international students and graduates in Canada contemplating a return to their home countries after their studies face concerns about securing employment, especially after spending years abroad and being unfamiliar with the job seeking process in their country. In response to these challenges, Worldview is hosting Canada International Students Job & Internship Fairs 2024 at the Mississauga Convention Centre on 26th & 27th June 2024. Whether you are a Start-up, NGO, Small Business, Government organisation or Large corporation considering an entry into Canada market or perhaps want to tap into Canada pool of educated graduates, this event will bring together local companies from Canada and around the world under one roof with an opportunity to recruit from the best of Canada education system. I will use this opportunity to reach out to partners, potential sponsors, and speakers who feel compelled to be a part of this event, we welcome your valuable contributions. Please connect with Tehilah at tehilah@worldview-group.com to discuss potential collaborations and explore how your involvement can add to this important event. How empowering is it to be in control of your own growth? As an alumni of Mainfreight Development Programme, I can assert that this is the reality at #Mainfreight. There are no set rotations, and no identical career paths for trainees. Your direction is entirely up to you, with a range of opportunities across European branches. Moreover, you'll receive solid support from a well-defined structure for training and coaching. In short, it's all about taking ownership of your journey! 🚀 #traineeship #managementtrainee #mainfreight #development
How can you stick in the mind of your audience? Three things: 1. Know your audience, 2. Be present, and 3. Be different. Today kicks off careers fair season for us at unis around Europe. Know your audience: for us it's students. We have a graduate programme / management traineeship as we want to grow our own talent for our future. We look for hunger and ambition, growth mindset, and a match with our culture, and often times we find that with students. Be present: Today Nadya Stroomer-Korovina and Frouke Bamps are at Ekonomika vzw in Belgium speaking with students about the Mainfreight Development Programme. This is the first of 11 upcoming events around Europe we'll be attending. Be different: we go against the grain with most things we do. We do things a bit differently. We like to get to know the students on a personal level, we ask them deep questions, we take an interest in THEM, and don't just spurt a rant about our company. This sounds simple right? Yes, so why isn't everyone doing it? No idea... Take an interest, listen, listen, listen. Do these three things, and you'll stick in your target audience's mind! We're looking forward to meeting students over the coming period and hopefully finding some stars to join our special company. #managementtraineeship #graduatejobs #traineeship #Mainfreight #students Mainfreight Europe Mainfreight

Calling all #students to share their experiences of the #careerfair organized in their universities? How many #internships or #opportunities were provided to the students through these career fairs? A number of career fairs were organized in various universities across Pakistan in the last couple of months where a number of organizations participated and proudly shared their participations. However the impact of these career fairs is unknown. CSR Forum Pakistan believes that #careerfairs should focus on providing opportunities to the students instead of mere branding and marketing. Let us know your opinion in the comments! #HR #opportunities #jobs #internships #talent #talentacquisition #careers #ethics

Most A level students recently received their results, and the quest is on to find further qualifications to help them in their career. Some of the questions I have been answering for the past days at the various education and career fairs revolve mainly around careers in law. Following today’s career talk at a local high school with my colleagues Saiksha Ramasamy and Tasneem Khedarun, here are some simple and brief pointers, summarized from such interventions: - If you have a dream job, talk to people who are currently in your dream job for insight but bear in mind that their journey does not have to be the same as yours. - Visualize where you see yourself in the next 3 or 5 years after you complete your studies, for instance working in an office, travelling or working remotely. Having a destination makes it easier to plan the journey - Seek an internship to find out more about the industry and role you wish to embark on. - Research opportunities for funding such as scholarships - A professional certification such as ACCA could be more useful than a degree. Reach out to employers. - Ask questions. Contact universities locally and internationally with all questions you might have. - Remember that embarking on a career does not necessarily mean you cannot change careers. - Reach out to people you know can help. If you have any guidance for those who just finished their A Levels, please feel free to share.

Career fairs offer so much more than just networking—they're an incredible opportunity to invest in yourself and your future. The key takeaway? Focus on developing your transferable skills. Whether it's communication, problem-solving, or continuous learning, these are the tools that will keep you adaptable and thriving in any industry. Embrace each conversation as a chance to sharpen those skills, and remember, the real value lies in your ability to keep growing. The future belongs to those who remain curious, open, and always ready to learn. Your career is a journey, and every skill you refine today is a stepping stone to where you’re meant to be tomorrow.
