Coming five years after WCAG 2.1, the new WCAG 2.2 guidelines are fundamental to creating web content that is accessible to people across the board. After several months of discussions, WCAG 2.2 was finalised today. The revised guidelines will only become more significant as legislation catches up with the real world. Finally! The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG 2.2) got the official status of “recommendation” from the W3C. This status signifies that the now officially new version of WCAG has been formally reviewed by W3C Members, by software developers, and by W3C groups and interested parties. Time to start living up to the new guidelines in WCAG 2.2. They are all great and will make users' lives better. I think “3.2 Predictable” is especially interesting as it forces you to plan the layout of related pages.
