Exciting news alert! 📰 We have signed the contract for the main works for the Children’s Cancer Centre with our construction partner Sisk. We are full steam ahead with deconstruction of our old frontage building about to start. We are replacing this outdated building with our fantastic new Children’s Cancer Centre meaning our facilities will match our ambitions in cancer care and research. Alongside the amazing new cancer wards and daycare spaces, the new development also means we can: ⛏️ Create a new main entrance for the whole hospital 🔧 Provide extra space for our critical care, imaging and theatres services, all of which are essential for cancer care and treatment, but will also support all specialties across GOSH. 🛠️ Have a new bigger location for the hospital school We are thrilled to have made this significant step forward in achieving our ambitions of our new centre and we are grateful to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and everyone who has supported the Build It Beat It appeal which is making this development possible.
So exciting to hear this!!

Looking forward to seeing it come to life! #SecuritySolutions #LifeSafety #BuildingForTheFuture”
How amazing. All poorly little children deserve at least this absolutely incredible. I loved the old building when I trained at GOSH but time doesn’t stand still and fortunately neither does the intelligence of our architectures etc either
This is excellent news!
