The United States is confronted with the challenge of maintaining its naval dominance amid the growing capabilities of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy. As the PLA Navy rapidly modernizes, expanding its fleet and incorporating advanced technologies such as stealth destroyers and ballistic missile submarines, the balance of power in maritime regions is increasingly at risk. To sustain its dominance, the U.S. must adopt a multi-faceted approach, emphasizing both technological superiority and strategic presence. A key strategy involves bolstering the U.S. Navy's technological edge by investing in next-generation assets like aircraft carriers equipped with advanced stealth capabilities, long-range precision strike systems, and autonomous naval platforms. Enhancing cyber capabilities and space-based surveillance will also be crucial in maintaining an operational advantage. Additionally, the U.S. should deepen its military alliances and partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region, collaborating with allies to conduct joint exercises and share intelligence. Strengthening these partnerships not only ensures a more formidable collective defense but also reassures regional allies of U.S. commitment. By combining cutting-edge technology with robust international alliances, the United States can effectively counter the PLA Navy’s advancements and preserve its maritime dominance, ensuring stability and security in key global waters.

Introducing the C-Dome| Naval version of the Iron Dome last night it made its first operational interception in the Gulf of Eilat, proving its capability to protect Israel's economic waters from advanced threats. The C-Dome is installed on Sa'ar 6-class corvettes of the Israel Navy and integrated into the national aerial defense array, which includes the "Iron Dome", "David's Sling," "Arrow 2," and "Arrow 3" systems. This real-life interception mission showcased the system's effectiveness, not just in an exercise, but in an actual scenario. #IMDO

Celebrating 40 Years of innovation in Naval Command & Control 🛡️ 40 years ago, we embarked on a journey to develop what would become our state-of-the-art C-Flex Command & Control system — now a cornerstone of modern naval operations. From humble beginnings, our dedicated team has evolved this platform into a powerful and essential tool for naval forces worldwide 🌐 📖 To commemorate this occasion, we look back at a pivotal moment in 1999 when our team, in collaboration with other Danish companies, secured approval to deliver the next generation of C2 systems for the Danish Navy. This effort led to the development of the system for the ABSALON class ships, now known as frigates. As we mark this milestone, we're reminded that innovation is a continuous journey. We're excited about the future and committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in naval defense. “The edition of Exercise Mare Aperto (MA24) which started today, constitutes the largest training event ever organized by the Italian Navy. There will be four intense weeks in which over 9,000 men and women will be confronted with a simulated crisis scenario which will progressively lead to a situation of open confrontation. The forces will be organized into opposing parties that will operate in all the different environments of the maritime domain, from the high seas, including the seabed, to the coastal and littoral areas. The other domains, air, land, space and cyber, will naturally also be intensely involved, in a fully multi-domain manner and with an approach that will be joint, inter-agency and inter-ministerial at the same time,” Admiral Aurelio De Carolis, Commander in Chief Naval Fleet.

Thought leaders dare to listen and value the comments from media. If you want to learn one or two things about the Naval Domain listen to Alix and Chris. We have plenty to say and tell about us as well!
At this year’s #Euronaval, we took a wider look at the naval domain in a series of films to better understand this crucial part of the defence industry. Saab is just one part of this arena and there are many interesting developments taking place right now. This time we speak to Dr. Alix Valenti, an international defence and security expert and journalist who has covered the naval domain for over 15 years, to learn more.
