#VOCABridge is an initiative that aims to bridge the funding gap for victim service organizations. It will ensure that no victim is left underserved as we face impending federal funding cuts. Governor Maura Healey introduced a supplemental funding bill to the Legislature that includes the remaining $20M investment that would fully fund the #VOCABridge. This funding is essential to mitigate the funding cuts that over 90 victim service programs are facing. We must fully bridge the gap through expeditiously passing the VOCA Bridge to ensure the sustainability of services for victims and survivors. #FullyFundVOCABridge

OneFamily has been campaigning with Andrew Turner for four years for the government to make simple changes that would help young people who lack the mental capacity to access their child trust fund savings. Currently, their families have to undertake a difficult, lengthy and sometimes expensive application to the Court of Protection, which can be very stressful. To support these young people and their families, we have put in place a simplified process to help them. Andrew and his son Mikey explain the problem and how companies like OneFamily have helped. #ChildTrustFund #ChildTrustFundAccessCampaign #CourtOfProtection

Don’t leave survivors in the dark. 💡 Survivors of violence in CA are on the brink of losing their lifeline due to devastating funding cuts. Despite Governer Gavin Newsom’s promise to protect core services, his budget abandons crucial support for victims. We urgently need $200M in this year’s budget to sustain these essential, life-saving services. Act now. Stand with survivors before it’s too late! #californiabudget #putsurvivorsfirst #suportsurvivors

These cuts will have an effect on victim services across the nation, including Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) at risk of cutting back resources or shutting their doors. Tell Congress to pass the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act (CVFSA) in the House to protect CACs and provide access for victims to get the support they need. The national Crime Victims Fund, an essential lifeline for state and local services for victims and survivors, is slated for a 37%, or $700m, cut in funding in October. SCCADVASA Executive Director, Sara Barber, and other community leaders spoke with The Post and Courier on the devastating impact of this cut on victim service providers and critical services and the urgent need for the state to fill the funding gap. ➡️ Read the article: https://loom.ly/Z6aOPvw #VOCA #StandWithSurvivors

Over 380,000 child victims of crime have turned to Children's Advocacy Centers (CACs) looking for support and resources to face impossible and unfortunate situations. Now, they are turning to us to save the CACs as they face down an old threat: the VOCA funds, the lifeline for these CACs to reach these children, are dwindling. Rep. Ann Wagner and her colleagues, Reps. Moran, Dingell, Bice and Costa have introduced the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act (CVFSA) to keep agency doors open to crime victims who deserve our assistance. This temporary infusion of resources will help stabilize the Crime Victims Fund, while retaining the Fund’s original intent of being financed by legal fines and fees, not Americans’ tax dollars. Now’s the chance to loudly support a quietly vital element of our communities. We urge the House to pass this bill and make critical dollars available for the children, families and communities that need it. https://lnkd.in/g-d32FRd
