One thing is for sure. Leaders should assure bedside staff are highly empowered and engaged with internal staffing shared/professional governance councils at every organization. Effective and financially efficient staffing models can be designed with clinical nurses at the decision-making table as partners with healthcare leaders. Elevating engagement is a key, primary action towards improving nursing and patient outcomes.
