The time is now. The future is female. Our current political situation in our own country is fueling much more than inequality between genders. The lack of responsibility as a unified nation to act with accountably, and punish the guilty (especially those who were chosen as our universal voice of liberty and justice move us all closer to the edge of no return in respect). Each day we allow those in high governmental and religious positions who believe they speak as the 'one true voice of our nation because they are at the top rung (of their own minds), of being the superiority leaders in history when their very decisions are proving they are not fit to serve. However, they are speaking out about religion and political policy issues with misinformation in order to cover their own errors of judging their peers. All leaders, no matter where they serve, need to take a refresher course in their own job description, which is why, there should be term limits on every govermnent job, and accountability minimums for every elected or appointed leader going forward.
On Women's Equality Day, we're reminded that the fight for true equality continues. This is why AAUW supports publication of the Equal Rights Amendment. Join us in urging Congress to affirm the ERA. Your voice matters in this crucial step towards constitutional equality. Take action now: Send a letter to your member of Congress: https://lnkd.in/gddFRZ_7 #EqualRightsAmendment #WomensEqualityDay

We've made strides towards political equality, with women now voting and leading in many countries, a huge leap from a century ago. Yet, the journey to full equality is far from over. Some nations still restrict voting rights, and women remain underrepresented in leadership roles and legislatures. True equality means more than just political participation; it encompasses civil liberties and genuine political power for women. Let's keep pushing for change and build systems where women have equal political rights. 🗳️ Empowerment Through Voting: A Call to Action for Women and Businesses Today is the last day to register to vote. Every vote matters, especially as we strive towards gender equality and inclusive decision-making. Inspired by Prof Pankhurst and Centenary Action, businesses and leaders within business are urged to embrace a pivotal role in empowering their workforce through the Promise initiative. This initiative not only encourages colleagues to register but also supports them in voting through flexible working arrangements. A recent poll by Centenary Action revealed that while 76% of women plan to vote, many feel their concerns are overlooked. This underscores the necessity for women, who represent 51% of the population, to be at the forefront of policymaking. Today marks the last day to register before the election. Let's encourage everyone to have a voice. Your involvement can shape the future! #Vote #GenderEquality #InclusiveLeadership #shevotes24 https://lnkd.in/ej6T3NtP

Navigating the Crossroads of Polarization in Political Campaigns With Values-Based Strategies The European Parliament elections are only months away. Therefore, there is an urgent need to understand why voters make the choices they do. But, how can political parties bridge divides and reconnect across the social spectrum? Understanding the deeper values and motivations of diverse societal segments that shape the electorate is where it all begins. With Glocalities' values based segmentation model, we can better understand voter behaviour. Each voter segment does not only have a unique worldview, but also distinct concerns, which affect their voting behavior as well. For instance: 1. Challengers and Achievers are especially concerned by economic growth. 2. Creatives are especially concerned about the climate (other than the previously mentioned human rights agenda). 3. Conservatives and Socializers are relatively more concerned about crime and immigration. To learn more see https://lnkd.in/eg57g-GP #marketresearch #values

Intersectionality plays a crucial role in shaping our political landscape, especially when it comes to voting rights. While the 19th Amendment marked a significant milestone for women’s suffrage, not all women gained the right to vote. Over the decades, key moments in history have slowly expanded voting rights, but there is still work to be done. Understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities is essential for creating a truly equitable political system. As we observe #IntersectionalityAwarenessMonth, let’s acknowledge and address these ongoing disparities. ➡️ Swipe through to learn more about how intersectionality impacts gender and politics, and join us in reflecting on our progress and the road ahead. Did you know? Women's Equality Day is celebrated on August 26th to honor the adoption of the 19th Amendment in 1920, which prohibited denying the right to vote on the basis of sex. While this was a monumental step for women's rights, it’s essential to remember that this victory primarily benefited white women, as other barriers like race and ethnicity continued to restrict voting rights for people of color. It wasn't until the Voting Rights Act of 1965 that more comprehensive protections were put in place. This serves as a powerful reminder that our fight for equality must encompass all aspects of diversity. #WomensEqualityDay #VotingRights #Intersectionality
