This past Tuesday, Chesapeake Water Environment Association and DC Water held its third annual Water Palooza event at DCW Headquarters. My first year, I attended the event as a volunteer. Last year, I was a member of the planning committee. This year, I served as co-chair of the planning committee alongside Ziwei He, P.E.! We had a very successful day educating the second and third graders of Miner Elementary School on the importance of clean water and how the industry works to achieve it! I am especially grateful to Traci Storm for all of her help coordinating the day, Emanuel Briggs, Stephen Akyereko, and the rest of the planning committee for all of their hard work these past eight or so months. I also want to shoutout all 17 of our generous sponsors, and all 43 of our volunteers for spending the day with us. We couldn't have done it without you, and we can't wait to see you all next year!
