I am pleased to announce the publication of the volume “IL DIRITTO ALIMENTARE”, written by myself and Omar Cesana (with the collaboration of Laura Carrara and other experts). The book takes a practical and systematic approach to the main aspects of food law, from food hygiene to its correct presentation, from the discipline of official controls to the various liability profiles that can affect the FBO’s activity, providing an operational and ready-to-use tool for tackling the various aspects of a subject in constant evolution, in line with the "from farm to fork" approach that inspires the sector's regulations. As in the previous edition, it has been considered important to focus not only on the interpretation of EU/ITA regulations, but also on the practical aspects. This is the result of more than 25 years of professional experience. Nyemaster attorney Todd Van Thomme spoke extensively with Food Navigator USA about the impact the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision to overturn the Chevron doctrine might have on the food and beverage industry. He expects the decision will result in more legal challenges to agencies like the FDA and USDA and the need for “more legislative clarity in the statutory process to make clear what is intended under the law.” Todd also expects and hopes for more enhanced cooperation between the food industry and regulators to “align on regulatory intentions and practical applications.” https://lnkd.in/gy27-yGd #foodandbeverage #foodandbeverageindustry
