This summer, our Community Involvement and Investment Team are hosting customer roadshows to engage with customers across our communities. We have now completed half of our roadshows, having already visited Daventry, Wiltshire, Gloucester and Dudley. The remaining stops will include Birmingham, Chippenham, Walsall and Banbury. Our customer roadshows allow us to connect with customers in their neighbourhoods, explore the area and most importantly, listen to their feedback and enhance our services. Find out more about our customer roadshows and when we will be visiting the remaining communities here: bit.ly/3WJpF2k

Tech CMO turned Founder/Owner of Purple Cork (ex McKinsey, eBay) | Connecting companies and customers around the world | Francophile | Former D1 golfer @ NU
A common mistake my team keeps hearing: too much focus on prospects vs customers. Trying to find new pipeline/buyers is no easy task, especially in today’s environment. That’s why customer events are pure gold- now more than ever. Use unique virtual and in-person experiences to drive retention, expansion and upsell. Your CRO will thank you! CAB events are also critical for your product and exec teams. (And if you don’t have a CAB, the time is now!) 🍷 As an example, you’ll rarely see prospects at our purple cork community events, or we sprinkle them in with customer champions so they can learn from each other. It’s fun to watch the Magic in action. To customer love! Marc Heyneker

Being a vendor at an event is not for the weak. There will be days people will walk by you and other days where you’ve broken even and other days there’s profit 💰 💰. Here are 4 tips for being a successful vendor at an event: 📣Promote: You have to work twice as hard. Promote by word of mouth, social media, and church. Also, have promotional materials like brochures or business cards. Consider running special offers or discounts exclusive to the event attendees. 📦 Prepare: Prepare your inventory, make sure you have enough stock to meet demand, and create an attractive and well-organized booth or display. 👩🏽🧍♂️👱🏼👨🏾🦳People: Engaging with customers is key to making sales and building connections. Smile, greet customers, and be approachable. Offer demonstrations or samples of your products to pique interest. Take the time to listen to customer needs and provide helpful suggestions or advice. Building a positive and personal connection with customers can lead to repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals. ⏰Punctual: Arrive Early, plan for traffic and parking, and test your equipment. If you rely on any equipment or technology for your booth, such as POS systems or audiovisual equipment, make sure to test them beforehand. #mrsashburysworld #authorrekiabeverly #mrsashbury #keeplearningandloving

Sales author, consultant, and coach. Helping founders and small teams improve sales conversations and close the right clients.
Updated results from the new team I’m working with: They closed 9 deals on Friday. 9! 12 deals for the month already and it’s only the 6th. Monthly goal is 20 which is up from the old goal of 16. Best part is that one of the newer salespeople got promoted to start closing and closed 1 in their first 5 conversations. Want results like this for your team? Let’s talk and see if you need what I do.

A new customer found us on Reddit in this thread! Pretty cool! #tlcexpo #tradeshowlogistics "You definitely want a carrier that specializes in trade show freight, not UPS or FedEx. If they don't get your items there on time, what will you do? We had one small piece from our last show that UPS couldn't find until weeks after, and it was a real pain to try to figure out an alternative on site (most of the booth arrived on time thanks to our carrier; the piece that was lost was something that had to be reprinted and was shipped from the printer). We have had better luck using someone we chose rather than the show's carrier. I tried a couple times and had issues. We've been going with TLC-Expo the last few years for our Las Vegas show because their service is really good and their price is always comparable (I always get about 5 quotes). The first time I contacted them I asked for references and they put me in touch with another exhibitor from our show, who had really high praise for them. I am not affiliated with the company other than being a customer, but if you're new to this, Scott and Leah from TLC can make your life easier. In any case, avoid UPS and FedEx at all costs. The exception would be to pack small things and take them to a UPS or FedEx office yourself to ship back to your office, if you're not in a hurry to get them back. Some venues have UPS or FedEx offices on site." https://lnkd.in/g8g6isiM
