Reason Three why you may choose to give to Rocky Mountain Wild in these last few days of the end-of-the-year fundraising: Better Public Lands Management. This year, the Bureau of Land Management proposed a Public Lands Rule that would modernize their national policies to balance conservation with other uses on public lands. Alison led a virtual workshop about commenting on the rule and worked with partner organizations to support this important reform. Pumpkin spice lattes are back, which means year-end giving is around the corner. ☕ I was asked to share a tip on year-end giving, and instead I'm sharing a heartfelt reminder (and wish) for all my fellow fundraisers: - You're more than your role; you deserve rest. - Throughout the year, nurture donor relationships based on trust and shared values, which helps counter unrealistic and harmful donor expectations. - Your well-deserved downtime shouldn't be swapped for donor acknowledgments. - Urgency isn't always a must, especially if your mission isn't life-or-death. - Feel free to fundraise, show gratitude, and engage with donors in January. - Remember, donors come in different forms: Acknowledge time and expertise alongside financial contributions. #CCF #CommunityCentricFundraising #philanthropy #grantmaking #nonprofit #nonprofitfundraising #fundraising #fundraisingtips
