FireFly Metals Ltd (ASX:FFM), formerly AuTECO Minerals Ltd, has reported significant #copper, #gold, #silver and #zinc results — including up to 9.4% copper and 4.7 g/t gold — from outside the existing resource at the Ming Mine within its recently acquired high-grade Green Bay Copper-Gold Project in #Newfoundland, #Canada.  The results are from the analysis of 18 diamond drill holes completed in 2022 by the mine’s previous operator that were previously only tested for copper. In addition to the known high-grade copper, the new results demonstrate significant quantities of precious (gold and silver) and base metals (zinc) in the high-grade VMS zone. As part of its resource growth strategy, #FireFlyMetals has commenced an underground exploration drill drive as well as its 40,000-metre underground diamond drilling program for which assays are expected in coming weeks. Nova Minerals Limited (ASX:NVA, OTCQB:NVAAF) has hit the ground running at the Stibium #antimony prospect of the Estelle Gold and Antimony Project in Alaska, while also advancing pre-feasibility study (PFS) resource definition drilling at the RPM #gold prospect. NVA has polished off 11 holes so far at RPM, targeting near-surface and high-grade inferred material with the goal of increasing the size and confidence of Estelle’s gold resource ahead of the PFS release. At Stibium the company is following up a 2-metre-wide, 30-metre-long outcropping antimony vein that graded at 60.5% antimony and 12.7 g/t gold in a drilling sample. Nova has staked a claim on an additional square kilometre of land around Stibium and is collecting several tons of bulk samples to conduct metallurgical test work on the mineralisation, which is of increasingly high strategic importance to the US and European governments as a #CriticalMineral. Horizon Minerals Ltd (ASX:HRZ) has a pleasing end-of-year wrap on its Pennys Find gold mine, 50 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie in WA's prolific #Goldfields region. The company, which fully owns and operates the mine, announced the latest findings from its ongoing resource expansion and classification program. The 2022 independent mineral resource estimate for Pennys Find highlighted a significant 270,000 tonnes grading 4.99g/t #gold, amounting to 43,000 ounces, with 81% categorised as indicated. In 2023, Horizon Minerals undertook a comprehensive drilling program, executing 10 reverse circulation (RC) and diamond tail drill holes over 3,298.4 metres. This initiative aimed to both expand the resource depth and enhance the classification of the ore from inferred to indicated. Tennant Minerals has released its Activities Report for Quarter ended 30 June 2024.  Highlights include:   ◾ The 2024 #exploration season commenced, and the company completed its first #drilling program which comprised of 22 reverse circulation (RC) drillholes for 6,253m. The drilling successfully tested the eastern and western extents of the known high-grade copper-gold mineralisation at Bluebird and included the first new step out drilling towards the prospective Perseverance targets located 1.5km to the west of Bluebird. Samples from the drilling program have been submitted to Perth Laboratories and assay results will be collated and reported to the market on receipt. ◾ The Company received further results from ongoing metallurgical test-work of diamond drill core samples from Bluebird. Results from flotation test-work on bulk-samples, confirmed excellent flotation recoveries and high-concentrate grades of #copper and #gold. ◾ A successful capital raising of $4.78M was completed which ensures the Company can pursue its planned exploration drilling activities for 2024.   CEO Vincent Algar commented:   “This year’s drilling and field programs will be transformational for the Company as we progress towards defining a maiden Mineral Resource and commencement of development studies. Cooper Metals Ltd (ASX:CPM) has established a strong foundation to grow the #copper bounty at the Mount Isa East Copper-Gold Project in northwest Queensland. Recently, a number of new prospects, including Brumby Ridge, Raven and Mafic Sweats South, have provided further signs of the project’s discovery potential. Brumby Ridge has emerged as a shining light after RC drilling in the December quarter of 2023 produced bonanza-grade copper. One reverse circulation (RC) drill hole, 23MERC028, returned 71 metres at 2.8% copper and 0.05 g/t #gold from 115 metres to the end of hole, including 24 metres at 5.4% copper and 0.10 g/t gold from 115 metres. Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has the diamond drill spinning at the Crusader-Templar deposit of #WallbrookGoldProject in the north-eastern #Goldfields of WA as it seeks to de-risk the project as part of ongoing mine studies. The 1,500-metre diamond drill program is expected to provide critical information to the company and comes as it accelerates mine study work ahead of potential development. It will provide further information for metallurgical test work, geotechnical assessment, waste rock characterization and water monitoring and is expected to be completed next month. The drill holes are multi-purpose where possible with some to also provide additional orebody infill detail. This program follows the recently updated JORC 2012 Crusader-Templar combined mineral resource estimate of 5.67 million tonnes at 1.7 g/t gold for 304,000 ounces of gold at a 0.4 g/t cut-off. QC Copper & Gold. (TSX-V: QCCU.V) has reported an upgraded Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) results for its Opemiska Project in Quebec's Chapais-Chibougamau District that it said defined "Canada's highest-grade #copper open pit deposit." The updated MRE, a result of extensive drilling and a two-year recompilation of geological data, revealed a significant increase in grade and contained #metal.  "This MRE details the immense value of owning such a sizable, high-grade asset with excellent accessibility and infrastructure," #QCCopper CEO and chairman Stephen Stewart commented in a statement. "Furthermore, QC Copper and Gold's Opemiska is in the heart of NW Quebec, a stable mining jurisdiction, where we see Opemiska as the anchor to revitalizing the storied Chapais-Chibougamau copper #gold district in Eastern Canada." Lightning Minerals Ltd (ASX:L1M) has received encouraging results from a recent auger sampling program at its 100%-owned Mailman Hill Gold Project 30 kilometres east of Leonora near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia and is planning the next phase of work. The Labwest UFF+ analysis technique results highlight three broad clustered areas of interest for follow-up exploration, with multiple results above 15 parts per billion (ppb) #gold and peak gold anomalism of 141 ppb. First-pass sampling aimed to identify drill targets which may be an extension to Cavalier Resources’ Crawford Gold Project which hosts 3.75 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t for 118,000 inferred + indicated ounces and initial ore reserve of 1 million tonnes at 0.91 g/t for 29,000 ounces.
