On August 21st 2024 my L3 Leadership Mastermind group met for the last time. After 9 years of doing life together it was time for a necessary ending as we found ourself in different stages of life. It's the end of an era. I joined the group in January 2015 shortly after it was formed in 2014. See full story in comments. It hard to put into words and quantify all the ways my life has been a transformed by this group and the men who were part of it over the years. I became a better Leader, Father and Husband and grew personally, spiritually and professionally. Some of the impacts on my life include 🎯 Led to us finding and Adopting Our daughter 🎯 Taught me how to hear God's voice and visualize Christ in new and profound ways 🎯 Taught me to the discipline of Year Awnd Review 🎯 Dramatically changed the way I journal and my priotization on this discipline 🎯 Introduced me to the discipline of silent retreats/clarity breaks 🎯 Helped meet and spend time with some of my favorite authors and leaders including Horst Schulze, Jeb Bush, Jeff Henderson, and Matt Keller 🎯 Introduced to 100s of books including Traction, Know What Your For and Never Spit the Difference 🎯 Helped me through valleys including two failed adoptions, brother diagnosed with cancer, and a panic attack 🎯 Taught me the concept of Fully Known, Fully Loved and Fully Challenged 🎯 Taught me the power of an accountability partner and forced me to have one 🎯 Helped me take control of my physical health and lose over 55lbs then 40 lbs again 🎯 Encoruaged me to dream bigger and dream deeper when everyone else told me to think smaller 🎯 Inspired and then challenged and encouraged me to run my first 10k then half marathon then to turn it up to a marathon eventually 50k. (Amanda told me 50 miler was out unless I worked less or we didn't have kids) 🎯 Taught me to hire slow and fire fast 🎯 Helped me launch my company with e fleas hours of help getting clear on my Core Values, Mission, Vison, Name, Logo and Branding 🎯 Was a source on encouragement and support as I naogating thw ups and downs of starting a company 🎯 Showed me how to be vulnerable and radically transparent 🎯 Learned the practice of gratitude dinners 🎯 Had deeply moving spiritual retreats 🎯 Learned to be father together 🎯 Devloped life long friendships, partnership and mentors 🎯 My wife joining a Mastermind and working growth and development 🎯Introducing to influential teaching of leaders including Gino Wickman, Dan Sullivan, Andy Stanley, Craig Groeschel, Carey Nieuwhof, Michael Hyatt, Brent Brown and Henry Cloud 🎯 Countless connections and impact that will continue to develop long after this group 🎯 Helped me through failed business decisions and hires 🎯 Learned to lead through crisis as we lead through COVID together 🎯 Helped me understand the importance of an inner circle and doing life together 🎯 Leanred how to make the best 🥩 steak More in Comments
