Giving somebody VP responsibilities. But calling it a Director. Doesn't mean you get to pay them less. What's right and wrong? ❌ How much should I budget for a Director of Sales? ✅How much should I budget for a sales leader that has the following responsibilities? #sales #hiring #jobsearch #recruitment

I think that people on both sides get too caught up in the title vs. doing the actual work. Someone's contribution to the success of the organization should a key determining factor around compensation. Someone who did the work should be paid in accordance with the value that was created. In the same way, when evaluating a candidate hiring managers (myself included) should focus more on what a candidate has accomplished vs. the titles they have held.

Love this! It’s a reminder that if the responsibilities are critical to the organization, then invest in it properly. That goes for every FTP in your organization! Gregg thank you for continuing to be an employee advocate!
