We often joke about wearing multiple hats but this has never been more true then for those serving in the National Guard and Reseves. Serving in the military part time creates many challenges especially as the National Guard is there to serve in an emergency. These often are not planned or scheduled. A few weeks ago, I left for a long drill weekend, what was meant to be 5 days ended up being almost 3 weeks as the Wyoming Air National Guard was tasked to fight wildfires in Southern California. I am lucky that my civilian employer, Burns & McDonnell understands these demands and works with me to balance my professional civilian career and my continued military service. #greatemployer, #Guard, #MAFFS, #firefigther
