Elevating MCO: Parking Guidance System The Greater Orlando Aviation is working toward future parking solutions at Orlando International Airport to enhance seamless and efficient experiences to our customers. A new Parking Guidance System will help drivers identify available spaces in the garages, while also displaying the total number of open spots to reduce circling, alleviate roadway congestion, and save time. With more than 20 miles of runways and taxiways – plus a significant road network, miles of footpaths, a train, tram and bus station and several sizeable car parks – keeping Manchester Airport running during the worst of the winter’s weather is no small task ❄️ But despite that, significant disruption due to snow and ice is rare because of the work that goes into mitigating the effects, with planning starting in the summer months. Some of the ways the airport prepares are ⬇️ 🌨️ Monitoring the weather using sophisticated forecasting systems. 🙋 Putting extra staff in place, including an adverse weather standby team and a 100-person resilience team. 🚗 Treating airport surfaces including the road network, car parks and footpaths with grit and salt. ✈️ Treating the airfield, taxiways and runways with de-icing fluid. 🚚 A fleet of more than 30 specialist snow and ice clearing vehicles. Efficiency: Suitable for small airports, but less efficient for large passenger volumes. 📌Ground-Level Road, Two-Story Terminal Design: Jet bridges connect directly to aircraft. Access: Departures on the second floor, arrivals on the ground level. 📌Two-Level Road, Two-Story Terminal Traffic Separation: Departures and arrivals are managed on separate levels. Boarding: Jet bridges streamline boarding and reduce congestion. 📌Ground-Level Road, Two-Story Terminal with Separate Flows Path Segregation: Separate paths for arrivals and departures for better efficiency. The cost to park there has skyrocketed over the last several years, however there are limited less expensive alternatives to support reducing traffic. How about a partnership with CET or another cost friendly option to shuttle people to hubs in the surrounding communities?

#ThrowbackThursday to 2018 when City of Chicago approved the O’Hare 21 Plan, a massive $8.5 billion project to modernize O’Hare International Airport. CCS played a crucial role in the Master Plan, from runway modernization to marquee passenger amenities. We worked on projects like runway extensions, renovation of Admirals Club, and upgrades to concourses and corridors. We also contributed to the development of an Aviation Fuel Master Plan Study and the installation of an Engineered Materials Arrestor System (EMAS).
