What can you expect in the landscaping world for 2024?🌳🌳 🌳 Edimentals integration: Include edimentals, which are plants that serve both ornamental and edible purposes in your garden. This not only enhances visual appeal but also ensures hardier, low-maintenance plants. 🌳 New perennial movement exploration: An aesthetic inspired by nature and originating from the Netherlands. Design gardens with drifts of native plants to create a natural, welcoming environment. 🌳 Eco-friendly rain gardens: These gardens capture and filter rainwater, minimising pollutants and supporting plant life. 🌳 Diverse outdoor spaces: Design outdoor spaces for various activities beyond dining, such as work, relaxation, hobbies, or even a small vineyard. 🌳 Gravel gardens: Embrace gravel gardens for a low-maintenance landscape with benefits like weed prevention, reduced fertiliser needs, and minimal upkeep. 🌳 Stumperies garden: Bring back the stumpery garden trend, focusing on shade-loving plants and creating havens for wildlife. In 2024, landscaping is expected to blend functionality, sustainability, and natural beauty for a harmonious outdoor space. #JustTrees #TreeNursery #PlantMoreTrees #LandscapeArchitecture #Landscaping #Architecture #Gardening #Trees

Harnessing the magic of sloping gardens Here in the Stroud Valleys, there are very few flat gardens. If you have a sloping garden, the thought of creating a beautiful user-friendly space can feel daunting. Here are some ideas to make you excited about designing your sloping garden! Discovering new views The best part of redesigning a sloping garden is that you can take advantage of new views from parts of the garden that were previously inaccessible. In a flat garden, your selection of views is fairly fixed, but not so in a sloping garden. Try standing in different spots around your garden and notice which views you are drawn to and those you prefer not to see. This can help you decide where to place seating or dining areas to ‘borrow’ attractive views and where to plant larger trees or shrubs to frame or hide views.
