The Incumbent Worker Training program is a government initiative designed to provide training opportunities for current employees to enhance their skills and productivity within their current job roles. Employers can utilize this program to invest in their workforce by offering specialized training programs tailored to the needs of their employees and the demands of their industry. This can include technical skills training, leadership development, or other relevant job-specific training. SC Works Greater Upstate is now accepting applications for Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) Grants. IWT grant funds will be available for businesses located in Cherokee, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Union counties. IWT grants are being issued for employers to upgrade the skills of their current employees. IWT grants provide opportunities for training in programs ranging from computer skills to manufacturing skills specific to industries. Applications will be reviewed by committees of the Greenville County and Upstate Workforce Boards to determine awards to businesses.
