What brand image does this photo convey to YOU?⬇️ ⚠️ 𝘾𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 & 𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 👀 We've had a few days away to a location we hadn't visited before. To ensure a quality stay, we booked a mid-range offering from one of the well-known quality hotel brands. Although inexpensive, the room rate was higher than the brand's London mid-range equivalents, which we had experienced and were happy with. Everything at reception was as we expected upon check-in. Things got less rosy as we headed to the room. The hotel was obviously a few years overdue for refurbishment, but given the impact of Covid, it was understandable, and we didn't mind. The room, though comfortable, was dated. But then came breakfast time the following morning! As part of a well-known mid-range brand hotel and being in the US, we expected a hearty breakfast. What we had can only be described as … ...words don't do this justice, and they say a picture paints a thousand words, so I've shared a snap of my plate. This result didn't happen overnight. There have been various decisions to cut costs and maintain profitability, cost thrifting that over time results in major brand erosion. That well-known hotel brand has lost our confidence across its entire range! If an organisation believes this experience is acceptable for one segment of its audience - especially given the room rate - then it's clear they have lost sight of their customers.
