Limited Time Offers: Boon or Bane? Limited Time Offers - A sense of urgency can bring up the conversion rate by 41% 📈 However, frequent limited offers can bring fake urgency and pressure on your customer base. These offers should highlight your product's genuine value and a feel of exclusivity for customers. How would it be if the same product is available for customers after the offer is over? 👀 Few sales are possible If you do so, You have created a fake urgency 🚫 Next time customers will feel that they can get the product later, reducing the urgency and value of your word 📉 An item in the limited-time offer shouldn’t be sold after the offer ends. It can be restocked very rarely creating a scarcity. Remember how McDonald's did it? 🍔 McDonald’s classic sandwich, last seen in 2012 made a comeback for its 40th Anniversary in 2021 with just Ten Thousand And Forty sandwiches in count creating a demand. They might bring it back on any other occasion after a few years as a premium limited-period offer that only a few customers can enjoy. #ecommerce #shopify #shopifystore #sopifystoreowner #d2c #d2cbrands #dtc #merketingtips #marketing #sales #salestips #FOMOtips #Fomotip1 #FOMO

How much longer until the price of milk becomes as volatile as concert tickets? 🛒 When I was in high school, I worked at a grocery store, and one of the most tedious tasks was constantly changing the labels on the shelves to keep prices updated. Fast forward to today, and in a recent conversation for the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗼𝗧 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 podcast with Paul Davis, we discussed the benefits of electronic shelf labels (ESLs) and how they offer a solution to this. Reflecting on that conversation, I began to think about the broader implications. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, like flights, hotel bookings, or concert tickets? This type of dynamic pricing already dominates online platforms, and we may be on the brink of seeing it spread to everyday shopping. As recently as August this year, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren accused Kroger, one of the largest supermarket chains in the U.S., of price-gouging. Meanwhile, in Europe, the Norwegian supermarket chain REMA 1000 has been using dynamic pricing for over a decade, with as many as 2,000 price changes per day depending on the time of year. Personally, I find these developments a bit concerning. The lack of transparency in pricing algorithms and the imbalance of information between retailers and consumers leave shoppers vulnerable. Without a reliable way to compare prices, consumers are at the mercy of the retailer. 🔍What do you think? #DynamicPricing #RetailTrends #GroceryShopping #ESLTechnology #TechInRetail #RetailInnovation

You know there’s a global cost of living issue when it hits McDonald’s revenue! Has anyone else noticed that the price of their guilty pleasures 🍔 🍟 have crept higher and higher? To help customers save, merchants need to find more ways to cut costs. The easiest way to cut costs is to change the way consumers pay. Real time payments, available in +70 countries, can save merchants 2-3% of revenue. How do you get customers to change the way they pay? Give them a great user experience and link it to savings / rewards. We have been doing this at divit and our merchants are getting up to 60% of their customers paying with real time payments. #ecommerce #realtimepayments

Some reasons you might be considering a pickup locker solution: 1- You have a high volume of first-party pickup or third-party delivery orders which cause your staff to spend a lot of time passing them out, which in turn costs you a lot of money. 2- Your customer experience is interrupted by too many 3pd drivers coming into your restaurant. 3- You spend unnecessary money on remaking food due to the wrong orders getting picked up off your shelves. 4- You want a safe and secure place for your staff to hand off pickup and delivery orders...especially if they are late night! 5- You are looking to move to or open a completely digital experience from ordering kiosk to pickup locker. If any of these are resonating or you just simply want to know more about how Apex Order Pickup Solutions might work for you, let me know! I will also be in Atlanta, Dallas and Denver for upcoming conferences if you'd like to chat in person!

Is #Costco's new move a crackdown on membership sharing or a data grab (or both)? Costco Canada now requires all members to scan their membership card on entry, even when going directly to the restaurant. When we visited this morning, they had two scanning stations at the entry, and another one at the returns door. This will provide enormous volumes of new member behavior data to the store, including - whether members who enter buy something - how long each member stays in the store - whether members go to the restaurant before, during, after, or separate from their shopping, - etc This comes on top of the data they already gather about each member's purchases. https://lnkd.in/gur4P67a

At Aisles, one of our goals is to create a simplified shopping process. Why spend hours when you can spend minutes doing your day-to-day shopping? Why get fake products for the price of the authentic one? Why wait for hours to get your groceries to get delivered to you? Why spend so much for so little? The answer to these questions is…You shouldn’t! With Aisles, your Grocery Shopping is easy and simplified!

Question about 3rd party delivery. During Covid most brands added every single 3rd party delivery available. Each of them giving you a slight edge to hold onto sales. Now that the largest impact from that time is behind us, have you begun to drop the ones that can’t deliver? Isn’t it time we hold them accountable for performance and maybe start firing the ones that don’t deliver our food with care and professionalism. On that related note, for those of us still doing significant volume in these 3rd party deliveries, what have you innovated lately to continue to improve the customer experience.
