☕ September 29 is Happy National Coffee Day ☕ Seriously, is there anything better than coffee? Incredible mentoring moments are often shared over a cup of brew. I think mentoring is a lot like a good cup of coffee - rich, invigorating, and best enjoyed together. Just as coffee fuels our day, mentorship fuels our growth, fostering connections that empower us to reach our full potential. Here are a few ways coffee and mentorship go hand in hand: ☕Creating Connections: Just as coffee brings people together, mentorship builds relationships that inspire and motivate. ☕Encouraging Open Conversations: The casual atmosphere of a coffee chat can open the door to meaningful dialogue, allowing mentors and mentees to share insights and experiences. ☕Brewing New Ideas: Like a perfect blend of flavors, mentorship encourages collaboration and creativity, helping individuals think outside the box. ☕Cultivating Growth: A good mentor nurtures talent, just as the right brew nurtures our spirits, leading to personal and professional development. On National Coffee Day, let’s raise our mugs to the mentors and mentees who inspire us! What’s your favorite coffee mentoring moment? Share in the comments.

Mentoring is a privilege. I attended an offline hangout yesterday organized by Peter Ebuka Agbo the convener of #ggp community as a special guest and was amazed at how visible my impact was. I saw people who were motivated by the energy that a Gen X like me exudes. These Gen Zs, and Millennials are successful entrepreneur s, businessowners, coaches and more. Some of them are also starting out and have not yet got clarity about their journey. During my speaking session, I shared these three nuggets about my journey: 🎯Look within and find what you are already passionate about then learn to have mastery and authority and people will find you. 🎯Use every opportunity you get to make a difference everywhere. Don't be lost in the crowd. Stand out as uniquely as you can. 🎯Create your stage for impact. Until you confidently take a stand, no one will believe that you are capable of being trusted. Which point resonates with you? It is a brand new week therefore boost your confidence by declaring: 👊I am an embodiment of solutions that the world is waiting for. 👊I stand tall and believe in making things happen. 👊I am ready and set to take this week and succeed in it. What do You think about what I shared at the hangout? Share your thoughts in the comments. Cheers to a great week ahead. Mentorship at Jo is all about connection. We take a different approach from the typical C-suite wisdom-imparting dynamic by pairing team members with one another — often those with similar tracks — to provide space for ongoing, open dialogue. As our Vice President, Mary Mullen, puts it, "We’ve found that our mentor approach feels the best and most fulfilling when we encourage connection among one another. It’s in the most unassuming of conversations where our team finds that creativity flows more freely, solutions are found more readily, and introspection is fostered more deeply. We come out of these discussions with a greater sense of who we are and how we want to move forward with intentionality." #Jocommunications #PRAgency #DesignIndustry #mentorshipmonth #mentorshipmatters #mentorshipprogram

Teacher Dropout → Business Mentor for educators | TAP Certified Business Trainer | Host of Upgrade Your Education Business podcast | Professional English Tutor
You know any message starting with this will be a good one! Beata implemented the follow-up strategy I walked her through (in real-time!) in our 1:1 session, and what a result. "I've had 26 conversations with potential clients (as opposed to getting ghosted), 2 telephone conversations and 4 clients have booked and paid." Some things take time in business. Some things can happen instantly, just by making a small tweak. As someone who expresses gratitude daily as a private practice (should that be with a 'c' or 's'?), I'm going take a one-off moment do it it publicly. I'm grateful: 🌱 That I have people in my world, who encourage sharing our successes to give others confidence to work with me. 🌱 That, despite changing my bespoke 1:1 mentoring, so many clients appreciate my values and want to carry on working together. 🌱 That I have a business and life that brings me joy, free from anyone or establishment telling me what to do. Thanks Beata for sending me those messages on Friday - a wonderful end to a wonderful day, filled with meeting lots of tutors, thanks to Ilana's tutor meetup.

🚀 Looking for a Mentor but Not Sure How to Start? 🤔 Here are some key tips from Janet T. Phan to help you find, nurture, and maintain those crucial relationships: 1️⃣ Ask for That First Meeting: Don't be afraid to reach out to someone you admire. A simple email asking for a quick virtual chat can kickstart the process. 📧 2️⃣ Nurture the Relationship: Take the time to connect on a personal level. Show interest in your mentor's life outside of work and follow up with a thank you note after your meeting. 💬✉️ 3️⃣ Maintain the Relationship: Keep your mentor updated on your progress and offer to help them in return. Express gratitude for their time and guidance. 🙏 Remember, mentorship can be life-changing.
