Working in a male dominated industry it is easy to see how people "just get on with it". You don't have to do that with me. I also believe I work for a company that values your mental wellbeing as much as your physical wellbeing. Personally I don't want anyone to suffer in silence and want everyone to be made to feel that they can be open and supported in the work place. Offering support is easy. Seeking support is a strength.

This is such an important subject! It's crucial to look after both our physical and mental health and wellbeing as both can have a significant impact on our lives, however, there's still a stigma attached when it comes to mental health, especially for men. Sadly, this means men are much less likely to reach out for help despite the fact they are more likely to struggle with mental health challenges than women. That needs to change but that can only happen by creating a culture where everyone feels comfortable expressing their emotions and seeking the support they need. I believe being open and honest about the struggles many of us face with mental health and listening to others with understanding and without judgement are just a couple of ways to achieve that. It's good to talk. 💙 Mental health is not a sign of weakness. Acknowledging it and seeking help is one of the bravest things you can do.
