What you'll do: ✅ Provide regulatory and coverage advisory guidance to business units. ✅ Main products presently include: Commercial Auto, Construction GL, DOL and Garage, and Habitational Property ✅ Create a product overview for each product to serve as the guidance document. ✅ Identify data that should be gathered into a database for measuring product performance. ✅ Assure that rating systems properly follow admitted rating rules. ✅ Create/modify forms to respond to loss trends, legal trends, comply with regulatory requirements, respond to customer’s coverage needs, and at the request of the business units. ✅ Develop new coverages based on requirements from business unit leaders. ✅ Assure all forms are reviewed by legal and provide all feedback to the business units. ✅ Communicate coverage issues to claims and the business units. ✅ Evaluate competitor policy forms and communicate important differences to the business units. ✅ Coordinate, direct, and monitor filing vendor’s filing process with various state departments of insurance using System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filing. ✅ Develop and maintain recordkeeping of all forms, editions, state approval status, legal guidance, and usage by Business Unit. ✅ Assure that all forms are approved by Amherst before being provided to the business units. #jobopportunity #product #insuranceproduct #dallas #remoteopportunity

Why is 1099 insurance sales attractive? This came up in a post the other day. The overwhelming answer was: 1. Money. 2. Free time. A lot of money can be made without a huge time investment. There are other big selling points as well. 1. Free training. 2. Weekends off. 3. Low overhead. 4. Simple to start. 5. Great mentors. 6. Residual income. 7. Low start-up costs. 8. "Halo effect" hiring bias assumes that if an individual has worked in insurance - even if for a short tenure or they've been an unsuccessful producer or they've never been in sales - they must be highly skilled, talented, and deserving of attention. What am I selling? I am selling insurance as a great career. Within this (general) product of insurance is great pay, steady hours, too many subfields to count, never-ending learning (if you want that), and it's a growing industry that is very rewarding. I’m selling to people that want to buy this product. It's recruiting. Recruiting people with potential (not always experience) to the life of insurance. Selling (and servicing) insurance is important, but I think it is secondary. Recruit the right people and provide the product they are looking for, and the business will do great. There is hiring and there is recruiting. In this business, recruitment is an ongoing process that demands attention and patience, distinct from mere hiring. #alwayshiring #thinkdavisinsurance
