You never go wrong with “Stayin’ Alive” 🕺 Now that we've got your attention, it's time for the harsh reality: According to a study, less than 10% of 1.003 German participants knew how to perform chest compressions properly. This makes it crucial to practise CPR regularly with the right equipment – not only in Germany, but worldwide. Luckily it's not always a matter of life and death: in some cases, just a band-aid helps. This makes it all the more important to always have a well-stocked first aid kit to hand. 👉Do you know which items are essential in your first aid kit, apart from bandages? 📷 : Messe Düsseldorf #AplusA #PeopleMatter #FirstAid #SafetyFirst Cederroth First Aid | Würth Group | SÖHNGEN | @nihonkohden

Safety on board is a top priority for any vessel. Having a well-equipped first aid kit is essential to ensure a quick and effective response to medical emergencies at sea. In emergency situations, such as cuts, burns or injuries, a first aid kit allows immediate intervention, minimizing the impact of injuries and stabilizing the patient until medical help arrives. During long voyages, especially in remote waters, access to immediate medical assistance may be limited. A well-equipped first aid kit ensures the crew is prepared to deal with a variety of emergency situations. A first aid kit should include essential items such as bandages, gauze, antiseptics, painkillers, scissors, tweezers and resuscitation masks. Having these materials on hand can make a big difference in critical situations. As part of a preventive approach to ensure the safety and well-being of its teams and the local community, Bolloré Logistics in Norway has invested in a defibrillator, an essential tool for saving lives, and has organized first aid training for its employees with Red Cross trainers. This 3-hour session, combining theory and practice, enabled the employees to acquire the knowledge and the right gestures to react effectively as first line responders to critical incidents, and to practice handling the defibrillator. The training emphasized the critical need for rapid and appropriate action, which can significantly increase the chances of saving lives in the event of a cardiac emergency. #GotSafety ? #GotFirstAid? #GotAED ? Oregon law requires Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in certain public assembly areas, including businesses, schools, and government buildings: Businesses Businesses with at least 50,000 square feet and at least 25 people present per day must have an AED. This includes health clubs that regularly have 50 or more people on-site for exercise or athletic activities. Schools Each school campus must have an AED, but not every building on campus needs to have one. Government buildings AEDs must be placed in state, city, county, and other government buildings.
Real-time, Real CPR Help®. Did you know all ZOLL AEDs include Real CPR Help® technology, which prompts rescuers with real-time feedback such as “Push Harder” or “Good Compressions.” It will also alert you when a shock is needed or if you should continue CPR until emergency services arrive. At Aeger Group, we are dedicated to equipping our clients with the skills and knowledge they need to effectively handle emergency situations. During our first aid training, we familiarize the participants with the MARCH drill. The MARCH drill focuses on: 🩸 Massive bleeding: Prioritizing the control of severe bleeding. 🫁 Airways: Ensuring clear and unobstructed airways. 🌬️ Respiration: Managing breathing and preventing chest injuries. 🫀 Circulation: Stabilizing blood flow and preventing shock. 🧠 Head & hypothermia: Addressing head trauma and maintaining body temperature. Our experienced instructors guide participants through these critical components, combining theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. During Aeger training, participants practice the MARCH drill with various stimuli in order to provide realistic training to prepare participants for situations they may encounter during their travels. I’m excited to share that I have completed a First Aid and CPR training course! While most people are glued to the TV worried about wars and terrorist attacks, cardiovascular diseases are currently killing around half a million Americans each year, and they are considered the number one 😮 cause of death in the world. Almost twice as much as cancer, and around 600 times more than those terrorist attacks we keep being so worried about. And the worst part about all of this? 80% of cardiac arrests happen within our homes, which means that other people are unlikely to assist us in such a time-sensitive situation. Knowing CPR can literally be the thing that saves our loved ones in an emergency like this. I am so grateful to have the chance to learn: 📌 How to perform traditional CPR (using the latest guidelines) 📌 How to perform Hands-Only CPR 📌 How to perform CPR with multiple responders 📌 How to confidently use an AED (automated external defibrillator) 📌 How to perform the Heimlich maneuver Having this knowledge and skills not only empowers me to respond effectively in emergencies but also provides an added layer of reassurance for the people around me. I believe that knowing that I am equipped to handle unexpected situations will allow my students, clients, and colleagues to feel even more relaxed and confident in their safety. Stay safe, learn First Aid and CPR, and take care, especially of your heart, everyone! 🙏 #FirstAid #CPR #FitnessIndustry #SafetyFirst #ContinuousLearning

Do you know your ABCs in first aid? 🔹 A for Airway: Ensure it's clear. Tilt the head back slightly. 🔹 B for Breathing: Check for breathing; if none, prepare for CPR. 🔹 C for Circulation: Look for bleeding; apply pressure if found. 🧳 Here’s how you can apply these in real scenarios: 🔹 Clear the Airway: Remove any obstructions carefully. Use the head-tilt-chin-lift technique to open the airway. 🔹 Restore Breathing: If they're not breathing, administer rescue breaths or start CPR immediately. 🔹 Stop the Bleeding: For bleeding, use clean cloths to apply firm pressure. Elevate the limb if possible. 🌍 At NGS, we can equip you and your employees with these essential skills through practical training, tailored to real-world situations. Our programs ensure you're prepared to act confidently during a medical emergency. 🔗 Learn more about our services: https://loom.ly/z9CbVcQ #FirstAid #TravelSafety #EmergencyPreparedness #RiskManagement 🔔 Follow us for essential safety training updates. ♻️ Reshare to help others learn crucial first aid techniques.

Lawyer. Security Consultant and Auditor. Hazmat Technician. Fire Capitan. Hazmat/CBRN-E and Fire Rescue Advisor and Trainer. Technical-Scientific writer and speaker.
Seeing firefighters from around the world still unaware of the cancer risks and respiratory diseases they are exposed to is concerning. We still observe many firefighters not using respiratory protection in fires, even underestimating the dangers and risks involved in cooling tasks, investigation, debris removal, and outdoor fires. These firefighters expose themselves to numerous contaminants that enter their bodies via respiratory pathways, dermal contact, and mucous membranes. Yesterday, we saw some firefighters from the Lisbon Sapadores Regiment not using respiratory protection during a lithium battery fire, in cooling tasks, and while being close to the fire during rest periods. This prompts reflection on the training, responsibility, prudence, and other technical safety aspects of modern firefighter operations. There is still a great deal of ignorance and underestimation of the dangers and risks in the daily and common operations of firefighters.

Passionate about keeping people safe in the workplace | Use of digital solutions to innovate and engage | Continually improving the workplace to thrive
As part of British Heart Foundation Heart Health Month and our internal Safe@ALL.SPACE, Safe@Home programme, ALL.SPACE employees learnt how to use the defibrillators that we have in our facilities. Our internal First Aid experts Eddie Annetts and Bob Griffiths shared their knowledge on CPR and our colleagues had the opportunity to practice on our training equipment. We also shared a First Aid Awareness quiz using the training feature on SafetyCulture that colleagues could complete in their own time. Providing life skills in the workplace is a great way of improving morale, teamwork and confidence. It doesn't have to be costly either. Discovering the skills you already have internally can take your H&S programmes to the next level. #firstaidtraining #integrity #safetyatwork
