#Week40 #news 📢 A New Era in Air Mobility Training : ITAérea Aeronautical Business School & Advanced Air Mobility Institute (AAMI) Join Forces with Strategic MoU On Friday, September 27, 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in Madrid between the Advanced Air Mobility Institute (AAMI), represented by its president and founder, Dan Grande Sloat, JD/MBA MRAeS, who traveled from Boston, and executives of ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, led by its CEO, José Ignacio Escudero. This agreement establishes a collaborative framework to develop training programs in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Both institutions are committed to “educating and advocating for the broadest public benefit within the global aviation ecosystem,” thus contributing to the future of the aviation industry. This joint effort aims to drive innovation, technological development, and research (R&D), while also improving safety, sustainability, and the efficiency of a cleaner, greener industry. 🛫 Thriving in Innovation: A Recap of An Unforgettable Panel Discussion 🌍 We had an extraordinary convergence of minds at the #AERO conference, bridging the generational and experiential divides within the aviation industry. We were privileged to host a panel that not only delved deep into the heart of aviation's future but also laid a solid foundation for a dialogue centred around diversity, equity, and inclusion (#DEI), innovation, and the nurturing of the next generation of aviation professionals. Moderated by Cate Brancart from #GAMA/#AviAll, a fervent advocate for safety, sustainability, and inclusivity in aviation, the panel navigated through pressing issues facing the industry and untapped opportunities therein. Panellists included Cyril CHAMPENOIS of Elixir Aircraft, who shared insightful views on how embracing rapid technological advancements is key to attracting future talent. 𝗗𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗘? In a few days the 23rd edition of annual #EBACE takes place at the Palexpo in Geneva hosted by European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and National Business Aviation Association. The main concept is about a trade show within #businessaviation, mainly business to business and a static display presenting latest #privatejet models. Since its inception in year 2000 the show always took place at Geneva airport having the convenience of an static display for aircraft at the airport, a large multi-hall exhibition and conference center all within walking distance. I have personally attended more than a dozen of these events. My question is whether we still need such a format or whether the time has come for a change. The show has certainly constantly improved and has become better and better over the years. However, this has been more of an iterative improvement process than an evolution. I strongly think the format is at its end hence neither one of our GlobeAir #DreamTeam nor me are attending this year. My observation over the last few years has been that more and more well-known #bizav companies and service providers are pulling out and no longer exhibiting, for various reasons, hugely driven by exploding costs. This year well known #businessjet OEMs Bombardier and Gulfstream Aerospace pulled out too. I know #EBAA is appreciating those signals and evaluating future options but nothing materialised yet. My very personal opinion is that this current format is at its end and a totally new approach is very much needed. Our business avation industry still speaks too much within the peer group, but for my taste more visibility to the end user and the public is needed to demonstrate the multiple values this industry brings to society and the #economy. What are my peers thinking about this?
