Always have a Roster set up for your Teams Breaks, in a Warehouse, so as a Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor, you are aware of where your Team Members are during the day. Partnering with C-Suite & HR | Accelerating CxO Career Growth | Career Transition Coach | Executive Coach | Executive Search for High Impact Leaders in the Supply Chain Sector | 20+ yrs exp | 17 years in Middle East
Winning business and gaining client trust often means saying NO as much as saying YES... When you are confident something isn’t possible, based on genuine knowledge and experience, it's crucial to be upfront with the client. For example, based on my own experiences, there have been countless times when a client requested support for an executive search, but the experience level they wanted didn’t match the compensation they were offering. In these cases, I explain why I know it’s not aligned. It's essential to manage expectations and not set yourself or your client up for failure. Budgets might be fixed, but market rates for experience levels are non-negotiable, it’s the market telling us that… not someone’s budget. While I am an optimist, I am also a realist. In these situations, I advise the hiring manager to either adjust their expectations for the required experience or improve the package and benefits. Failing to do that just wastes time and effort for everyone involved, leading to an unhappy client and pointless discussions with senior executives who won’t be interested in the job. Why am I so confident in telling the client this directly? I have specialised in a niche sector for many years, I live and breathe supply chain, I talk to senior executives from the sector every single day. My knowledge is built on experience and facts. Some will listen, some won’t. But the door is always open. For those who don’t want to listen, I would rather let them find out for themselves by trying anyway. Unfortunately, I won’t be the right person to help, but they can always come back to me later if they want to reassess. Trust your experience! #executivesearch #supplychain #logistics

In my experience, key qualities that distinguish top-tier Warehouse Operatives are attention to detail, physical stamina, good communication skills, and adaptability. Attention to detail is critical in precise inventory management and accurate order fulfilment. Even the smallest error can disrupt operations, making meticulousness indispensable. Physical stamina is another essential quality. Warehouse Operatives are often on their feet throughout their shifts, moving goods and operating heavy machinery. Maintaining fitness and high energy levels is crucial for thriving in this demanding environment. Good communication skills are vital for effective team interaction, ensuring everyone is aligned and boosting overall efficiency and workplace morale. Furthermore, adaptability is essential, as warehouse environments are fast-paced and constantly evolving. Combining these qualities can significantly enhance performance, contributing to smoother and more productive warehouse operations. #WarehouseExcellence #WorkplaceSkills #LogisticsLife

National Business Development Manager | Providing Recruitment and Training Solutions for the Industrial Sector | CMI Level 5
Here's how a Logistics Director avoided losing out to his competitor: He was running up to peak and told me about the stress he was under in the competitive market. What was adding even more pressure was their competitors being on the same industrial site, offering the same role, pay and shifts. And he didn't understand why they seemed to be landing more temporary colleagues than he was. It was a massive point of frustration. He asked me to step in and support so I went and analysed the site... 3 things stood out to me that we then implemented: 1 - A media & creative team Development of role overview, video advertising, day in the life videos, social media recruitment campaigns and programmatic recruitment options. 2 - Market Analysis Targeting alternative pool and transport options. 3 - Improved onboarding journey Candidate experience and session days. This proved to be extremely effective from the get-go and resulted in a successful peak. And more importantly, reduced stress levels for the Logistics Director. I didn’t expect a casual conversation to turn into such a great partnership where we'd be working together for over 2 years now!
