Middle School Science Teacher & Coordinator | UN Climate Change Educator | Global STEM Educator | Teaching & Learning Instructional Coach #InspiringMinds #EmpoweringChange"
I find it interesting that our teaching and instructional methods have changed over the years from teacher-centric to student-centered and facilitating the learning process, but professional development sessions, in my experience, still need to adopt this change. Interested to hear some thoughts. #professionaldevelopmentforteachers #learninginthenewage #teachers

What steps did you take to advance your career to become an academic head? ✏️ Experience is the cornerstone of growth in any field, and my journey to becoming an academic head is a testament to that. Starting as a Subject Matter Expert, I honed my expertise in my field before transitioning to managing center operations. Recognizing the importance of understanding classroom dynamics, I dedicated 8 years to hands-on teaching, spanning from elementary to graduate levels in various educational settings, including schools, coaching centers, and the dynamic landscape of edtech. As a manager, I've merged administrative prowess with pedagogical insights, fostering environments where both educators and learners thrive.

I help Title 1 elementary school leaders cultivate the capacity of their stakeholders so that all students receive quality instruction, achieve sufficient progress, and perceive themselves as limitless. 🔺🐘
"When teachers stop learning, so do students." -Jim Knight Schools can't afford to lack instructional coaching, especially for it's new/developing teachers. Unfortunately, the exodus of teachers is leaving many schools with little to no options to provide strong coaching and, in some cases, mentoring for newer teachers. Instructional coaches are either non-existent or pushed into classrooms to fill the void of vacant positions. This leaves coaches 💥overextended 💥unavailable to provide support to developing teachers Meanwhile, teachers are lacking 💥modeling, 💥co-teaching support, and 💥feedback on their practices And, ultimately, students are 💥 disengaged 💥 not meeting benchmark targets 💥 not showing growth ♥️ I have a solution you need to invest in if this sounds like the landscape in your school building. ✅ If you're a new/developing K-5, Title 1 teacher or staff member who knows there is a need for strong instructional coaching, forward this to your administrator. ✅ If you're a K-5, Title 1 administrator who is in need of instructional coaching for new/developing teachers at your school or knows someone who does, type "heart" in the comments to get started with a discovery call. ⏰ Seats are limited for this cohort so what you don't want to do is ponder too long. Registration begins December 11th. #instructionalcoaching #coaching #teachercoaching

Stepping out of the classroom can be a scary feat for teachers. Having been an educator for 6 years, I wasn't sure what to expect when embarking on a new journey. But being an Instructional Coach with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has broadened my scope on education and given me new learning opportunities! Now I not only support student growth, but the amazing teachers who make that possible ✨ Once a teacher, always a teacher 🤗 #hmh #instructionalcoaching #teachingmethods

The impact of effective instructional coaching lasts beyond the current school year. But without it, the road to teacher development is delayed and potentially damaged. Ineffective practices set in and can be difficult to break. 🆘 Your teachers needs immediate coaching solutions if your content/instructional coaches are: 💥 constantly being pulled from their duties to cover classrooms 💥 filling vacant teacher positions 💥 non-existent on campus due to teacher shortage 🆘 If your developing teachers are: 💥 not delivering standard-aligned instruction consistently 💥 having difficulty monitoring student mastery 💥 over/under scaffolding 💥 not using data to improve student performance ♥️ You need to enroll your developing teachers in my new coaching program, Teach with Heart Instructional Coaching.
