Helping the Energy sector attract and retain female talent through Menopause Awareness Training and Consultancy
😚 Reignite the passion in 2024 – no I am not talking about in the bedroom but rather in the boardroom. To reignite passion among employees in the New Year, companies can consider the following strategies. Menopause awareness training and policies can significantly contribute to several of the strategies mentioned for reigniting passion among employees. 💯 1️⃣ Set Clear Goals and Expectations: Clearly articulate the company's vision, mission, and individual roles. When employees understand their purpose and the overall direction of the company, it fuels passion and motivation. 2️⃣ Encourage Autonomy: Provide employees with a sense of ownership and autonomy in their roles. Allowing them to make decisions and take initiative fosters a feeling of empowerment and passion for their work. 3️⃣ Promote a Positive Work Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and appreciated. Recognition programs, team-building activities, and a culture of appreciation contribute to a more passionate workplace. 4️⃣ Invest in Professional Development: Offer opportunities for skill development and career advancement. When employees see a clear path for growth, they are more likely to be engaged and passionate about their work. 5️⃣ Open Communication Channels: Establish open lines of communication between management and employees. Encourage feedback and provide a platform for employees to voice their ideas and concerns, fostering a sense of involvement and passion. 6️⃣ Flexibility and Work-Life Balance: Recognise the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible work arrangements when possible. This shows employees that their well-being is a priority, contributing to increased job satisfaction and passion. 7️⃣ Promote a Sense of Purpose: Clearly communicate how each employee's role contributes to the overall success of the company. When individuals understand the impact of their work, it adds a sense of purpose and fuels passion. 8️⃣ Recognition and Rewards: Regularly acknowledge and reward achievements. Recognition, whether public or private, goes a long way in boosting morale and passion among employees. 9️⃣ Encourage Collaboration: Foster a collaborative culture where employees feel part of a team working toward common goals. Collaboration enhances engagement and passion for the collective success of the organisation. 🔟 Provide Resources and Tools: Ensure that employees have the necessary resources and tools to perform their jobs effectively. Frustrations due to inadequate resources can dampen passion, so investing in the right tools is crucial. ▶ Addressing menopause awareness and support in the workplace is not just about health; it's about creating an environment that respects and understands the diverse needs of employees, ultimately contributing to increased passion, engagement, and satisfaction in the workplace. #Menopause #Menopauseintheworkplace #Menopauseawareness #MenoTrain

Corporate Wellness & Empowerment Specialist | Transforming Leaders Through Productivity and Pleasure
My advice for someone navigating a career transition during menopause is… Forget the loaded word ‘menopause’ and treat it as your ‘Second Spring.’ Your ‘First Spring’ was likely focused on meeting others’ expectations. Now, it’s time to prioritise your needs and desires. Here are my five key tips for making a career transition during this stage: 1. Gain clarity on YOUR priorities - Reflect on what truly matters to you now. - What brings you joy and fulfilment? - What are you ready to say ‘no’ to? 2. Start a regular self-care practice - Self-care and self-love are essential, not selfish. - Set aside time for practices that nurture your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being and treat this time as sacrosanct. This includes pleasurable practices, too. 3. Trust your experience - Your career history is a source of power. - Now is the time to redefine what success looks like, drawing on your accumulated wisdom. - This is the time to be brave! Have some good old gumption. 4. Stay open and flexible - This is a chance to explore new paths; whether that is shifting industries or taking on new roles that excite you. - Be open to learning and evolving. 5. Build a support network - Surround yourself with like-minded people, mentors, and peers who can offer advice, share experiences, and keep you inspired. - Have regular fun times with friends and loved ones. - Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it. This is your Second Spring and your chance to step into your true power. By focusing on clarity, self-care, and flexibility, you can create a career that reflects your values, needs, and desires. This is your time. #LinkedInNewsEurope #menopausetips #pleasureheals

Consultant Chartered Occupational Psychologist - Facilitator - Coach - Menopause Awareness - Yoga Teacher - Founder and Director at Helen Cooksley Ltd
Since starting my consultancy business over a year ago, I have been able to reflect on the different areas of occupational and organisational psychology I have worked on. One thing I am so fortunate about is the variety of work and the wonderful people I have met and helped. Whilst I have still focused on my core areas of expertise, I have also found myself working more in the coaching and leadership development space, and completing psychometric assessments, which I love. I have also been collaborating with my Principle Associate Dr. Vicki Elsey on what menopause means in the workplace from the lens of occupational psychology. We are excited to be delivering workshops that help people rethink the menopause in ways that truly help the individual and organisations, raising awareness, and completing much needed research. Thanks to Steve O'Brien at Five Digital, who designed my initial website, we have made some great changes to bring it up to date and represent everything the consultancy can support individuals and organisations with, including: ➡ Leadership and Development ➡ Coaching ➡ Menopause and the Workplace ➡ Wellbeing ➡ Selection and Assessment ➡ Personality and Psychometric Assessment Take a look if you get the opportunity to see what we can help with and let me know what you think...simply scan the QR code below ⬇ As always, please send me a message to discuss anything we can help with - there are no wasted conversations. #leadership #leadershipdevelopment #training #workshops #coaching #executivecoaching #coachingformenopause #wellbeing #resilience #selectionandassessment #selection #assessment #personalityassessment #psychometricassessment #evidencebasedpractice #menopause #menopauseandtheworkplace #research #consultancy #occuapationalpsychology #organisationalpsychology #businesspsychology

The Business of Midlife Health: Why Companies Should Care When it comes to corporate wellness, why is it that menopause and perimenopause get swept under the rug? Let's lift that rug and talk numbers, people, and why it's a business imperative. Why it Matters: The Stats Let's get real—ageing in the workplace is no longer a fringe issue. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2024 about 25% of the labour force is expected to be age 55. And, according to the Office of National Statistics in the UK, Menopausal women are the fastest-growing demographic in the workforce. This isn't just a topic for those thinking about retirement; it's a topic for anyone wanting to stay competitive in their career, and for businesses that want to stay competitive in the marketplace. Midlife health matters more than ever, for individuals, career and life satisfaction, relationships, and overall well-being. It’s time to stop treating midlife health as a niche concern. Lost Productivity: The Hidden Cost Hot flashes, sleepless nights, mood swings—when women don't get the support they need, it's not just their health that takes a hit; it's the company's bottom line too. Absenteeism, presenteeism, and even career exits by women executives are common events among those going through menopause, due to a lack of support or flexibility in the workplace. Human Resources can and should be the champions of creating an inclusive work environment that accounts for midlife transitions. Menopause is coming to an office near you. Businesses, it's time to adapt and thrive, not just survive. If you’re someone going through this change and would like to learn more about the lifestyle habits that will help you navigate through it with greater confidence, I’m here to help. Please reach out and let’s have a conversation.
