What does it take to film a testimonial video in another country ✈️? Two Sony cameras, some Sony lenses, some Aputure Amaran lights, a gimbal, a tripod, two Atomos Ninja recorders, Pro-Mist filters, a lot of storage, and don't forget your gaffer tape 🎬 Gear by 3z.rent 💡 Last year we went to Amsterdam to film a testimonial video for Undabots client CLIQ Digital. Getting into the weeds here a bit with cameras. Let's talk Dynamic Range. This is the first characteristic that really confused me when I started learning about cameras. All this really says is how well a camera can handle the highlights and the shadow parts of an image at the same time. The higher the number, the better off you are. Sometimes it really is that easy. #videographyhelp #filmmaking #smallbusiness

Alfred Hitchcock would be proud of Runway. Their Multi Motion Brush allows you to create dolly zoom shots within seconds. The effect was invented by second-unit cameraman Irmin Roberts on the set of Alfred Hitchcock's ‘Vertigo’ (1958). The technique is often used to evoke a sense of unease or disorientation. ‘Jaws, Goodfellas, E.T., Raging Bull’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’ used it well to create psychological tension in a scene. I did a test in Runway myself and wonder what you think of the results! I asked myself; 'What would movie villains feel, working their corporate jobs to fund their evil dreams, when they hit an obstacle?' Unease. Disorientation. Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! Follow me for more insights for your videos. #Runway #DollyZoom #AIvideo #video #storytelling

Staying Focused without distractions can be challenging. But the more you practice, the more you are able to shun distractions. Just like when trying to focus on a subject through my camera lens, the moment there is a distraction, I can easily loose my subject out of the frame composition. The more I shoot, the more am able to keep my eyes on my subject. Have a great weekend ❤️👍 #femalefilmmaker #filmmaking #cameraoperator #focus

Video production we guarantee you’ll love. Build trust, boost sales, recruit & train 🧡 Creative Director, Sound Images
There are 'classic' video production techniques that never go out of date. And one of my faves is slow motion to make the simplest of scenes look super special. How do we create the look of slow motion? In video production, the normal filmed speed is 25 frames per second. This means that each second of video contains 25 individual images. But - if we film at a higher frame rate of 50 frames per second, twice as many frames are captured. To create slow motion, we take this higher frame rate footage into the edit suite and play it back at half speed - this drops every second frame... ...and ta da! Slow motion. [This footage was filmed for a cinema commercial for Parker Hamilton, the Gold Coast's most advanced vision boutique.] #BehindTheScenes #CorporateVideoProduction #BrisbaneVideoProduction #CorporateStorytelling

Did you know that color grading can significantly influence the tone and atmosphere of a film? 🎨 For example, the rich, saturated colors of "Mad Max: Fury Road" create a sense of chaos and intensity, while the muted, desaturated palette of "Blade Runner 2049" evokes a melancholic and futuristic atmosphere. These examples, often cited in film industry discussions, highlight the impact of color grading on audience perception. #Filmmaking #ColorGrading #DidYouKnow #FilmTips #FilmProduction #Filmworkz

This odd stack of 2D landscapes needed a dramatic look to really come to life. But how do we achieve it? First we need to do a bit of analysis on the aesthetic of bleach bypassed film. It's punchy, low in saturation, oddly warm, and very grainy. Then we need to actually emulate that look, for which we're diving into Davinci Resolve. #resolve #davinciresolve #colorgrading #bleachbypass #contrast #film #filmlook #lut #tutorial
