Red Weather Warning – Working From Home to the Rescue! With Storm Eowyn on its way and a red weather warning in place for Scotland, it’s stay indoors time. At Three Bridges Recruitment, we’ve decided everyone will be working from home – because no one needs to be battling gale-force winds to get to their desk. What’s funny is that a few years ago, this probably wouldn’t have been possible. Remote working wasn’t the norm, and when extreme weather hit, it usually meant chaos: missed meetings, scrambling to reschedule, or just losing a day altogether. Fast forward to today, and it’s a different story. Technology makes it easy to keep the wheels turning while staying safe, and we’ve all got the hang of virtual meetings (even if the cat sometimes steals the show). Plus, it’s great to see how many businesses have embraced putting people first – no longer expecting us to trek through a storm just to sit at a desk. So, while we’ll all be home tomorrow, it’s business as usual. Stay safe, stay warm, and if you’re in Scotland, maybe treat yourself to a cup of coffee and a biscuit. You’ve earned it.

🌌 A Night to Remember 🌌 This photo takes me back to a typhoon season—a blackout, candles lit, and struggling with the network but still able to work from the comfort of home. It’s a stark contrast to the days when I had to brave typhoons just to get to the office. As a night-shifter, I remember walking through dark streets, soaked from the rain, with strong winds pushing against me, just to catch a cab. Upon arriving at the office, I had to change into dry clothes and push through the night. Now, remote work has given me the chance to stay safe and warm during challenging weather conditions. Even more so, I’m incredibly thankful for clients who value my well-being—understanding that sometimes, the power or the network just won’t cooperate. This journey has reminded me of how far I’ve come and why I love what I do. Remote work is more than just convenience; it’s about resilience, gratitude, and growth. 💻✨ To anyone considering the leap to remote work: it’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. #RemoteWork #VirtualAssistantLife #WorkFromHome #Gratitude #ProfessionalGrowth #Resilience #RemoteWorkJourney #VAForHire

It’s been about two months since I officially retired from the United States Marine Corps but have been working remotely since last September. Working remotely has its perks: no commute, flexible hours, and getting to work at your favorite place. But sometimes, I miss the good old days of stopping by a coworker’s office just to shoot the breeze. There's something special about those spontaneous chats that Teams just can’t replicate. Well, guess what? Today, I had an unexpected visitor outside my home office—a snapping turtle! That’s right, this little guy was just staring me down through the patio door, probably wondering why I’m not out there doing something more exciting than typing away at my computer. Here’s the thing: just like this turtle, the competition is always watching. Whether you’re in the office or working from home, they’re keeping an eye on your every move. So, stay sharp, stay connected, and don’t let the snapper catch you off guard! Check out the video of my nosy new coworker. Maybe I should give her a name? Any suggestions? #RemoteWorkLife #WorkingFromHome #SnappingTurtleSurveillance
