Ads for architects 👇 Not hiring an architect will often cost more. Let’s use a simple visual to make that clear. It’s time for architects to get back out and market themselves to the general public. Countless studies have revealed that people don’t really understand what an architect does and what value they bring. You can’t solve these challenges with one ad. But you can solve it with continuous exposure. And an increase in adoption across the general public. Have some fun. Be a little pithy. Be different. Be proud. :) --- 👆 Click the “View my newsletter” link under my name to join 8,000+ architects improving their sales & marketing with free growth hacks. Oh, how true this message is! And how many people outside our industry will laugh at this ad because they just won’t believe it… After all, buildings do eventually get built, right? Sometimes with more or less pain, for way too much or a bit over budget… A few months ago, our office was asked to give an expert opinion as an investment project consultant (yes, we’re qualified). The question was whether a legal procedure was needed in a particular permitting process. The problem? This procedure is automatically triggered by law when getting a building permit for this type of project, so it’s usually not an issue. But someone with no design role, who somehow got involved, insisted this procedure could be avoided. Not only that, they scared the investor by saying the project couldn’t be finished if the procedure started. And they suggested an uncertain workaround that only they could guide the investor through. The architect could only watch as the investor walked into extra costs and delays. Guess who the investor listened to? We all know stories like this. And one ad that only we notice won’t fix that. We need to show people that, ironically, the cheapest solution for them is us, even before they decide to invest. 😉

Keep it simple and impactful. 👍 It does take creativity but architects should have that naturally. Great example btw.
