Finally some new knowledge - completed the Bioinformatics in Drug Development course! This journey provided me with invaluable knowledge and practical experience, equipping me with the tools to explore how bioinformatics drives innovation in pharmaceutical research. 🔑 Key Highlights from the Course: 1) Leveraged the PDB (Protein Data Bank) and PubMed databases to research protein structures and relevant literature 🧬📚 2) Explored the database of inter-protein interactions, vital for understanding complex protein networks in drug development 🔗 3) Utilized NCBI to retrieve the target protein sequence for in-depth analysis 🧫🧬 4) Applied the powerful AlphaFold3 server for accurate modeling of the target protein structure, a game-changer in structural biology 🧠💡 5) Employed CBDock2 server to perform docking simulations of selected compounds into the modeled target, aiding in drug design 🧪🚀 This course has enhanced my understanding of bioinformatics and its critical role in accelerating drug discovery through computational approaches.
