🏆#IDEMIANEWS | Austroads’ Digital Trust Service (DTS) was tested for scalable nationwide expansion. Using IDEMIA’s Credential Authentication Technology (CAT), the tests demonstrated how three continents can verify not only state-border but also international credentials. [Partner Content] Austroads has launched its beta National Digital Trust Service (DTS), paving the way for Australians to securely prove their identity both nationwide and internationally. With successful testing and global collaboration, the DTS is set for nationwide expansion.   In October 2024, Austroads rigorously tested the DTS through two major international events: the Identity and Verifiable Credentials Summit 2024 and the 10th International Interoperability Test Event.   “At these events, leading wallet providers and verifiers demonstrated that their technologies could seamlessly work together. All participants were able to host their cryptographic keys on the Austroads DTS, with 350 tests conducted by 21 providers. DIGITEL TS has actively participated in the recent workshop organised by ETSI and CEN at ETSI headquarters in Sophia Antipolis. Daniel Garcia Suarez, Chief Product Officer, was present to learn first-hand about the current status of the eIDAS2 regulation standards and to attend the demonstrations of the large-scale pilots implementing the EU Digital Identity Wallet. This workshop, led by the ETSI ESI Technical Committee and CEN/TC 224, focused on developing standards that will support the new European Digital Identity Framework, which will significantly transform the security of digital infrastructure in Europe. This framework will facilitate cross-border transactions and ensure frictionless financial, government, and commercial services access. DIGITEL TS, is closely monitoring these developments to integrate them into their solutions to offer innovative services in the field of digital identity. Particularly, aligning their strategy with the standards detailed by ETSI to implement the identification of legal persons and the use of verifiable credentials within the DOME Marketplace. This approach will enable greater security and trust in the exchange of verifiable information, facilitating interoperability across multiple sectors.
