Here are some specific guidelines: Catering Staff: Tip 15-20% of the total catering bill, typically $35-$100 per staff member. Bartenders: For open bars, tip $15 per hour worked. For cash bars, allow bartenders to keep their tips (around 20% of beverage sales). If credit tips are involved, bartenders get 80-85%, and barbacks get 15-20%. Brand Ambassadors and Production Assistants: While not industry standard, any tip for excellent work would be appreciated. 🅰️ ACCEPT - compliments and feedback, internalise praise. Our brains are hardwired to remember negatives and focus on what we haven't done. My antidote? Create a brag file to record all the good stuff you do and positive feedback you get. 🅰️ ACT - action is what moves us forward. If you have limiting beliefs ("I could never lead a team / open my own restaurant / set up my own business / speak at an event") the best way to prove your imposter syndrome wrong is to DO IT. 🅰️ ASK - for what you want. Use simple direct language. Keep it concise. Try this formula: Say their name, Say what you want in one sentence, Give one or two compelling reasons why, Handover to them. What's the worst that can happen? 🅰️ AVOID - avoid minimising language. Some words make you sound and feel smaller. e.g saying sorry at the start of every sentence when you have done nothing wrong, and the word 'just'. You don't need to diminish yourself to be liked. Be liked for doing great work.

K-Food Fair (Business to Customer) is a Korean fair organized at Sunway Pyramid from 13 October 2023 until 15 October 2023. Our event client is Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT). The event aims to encourage customers to buy Korean products launched in Malaysia. During the pre-event, I had to prepare all the goodies for three days. The goodies need to be given to the media, VIPs, performers, winners, and participants. I also need to check the schedule for three days to make sure all the performers get their goodies.I need to supervise all the part-timers. I had to ensure they understood their job scope. I had to confirm with DCOM staff such as the photographer, and console team whether they needed part-timer help while doing their duty. In the B2C K-Food Fair, I improved my critical thinking skills. During an event, my colleagues were in their own position during their job. I had to deal with the situation when part-timers were seeking my answer and approval. I tried to make decisions that benefit my team members, clients, and part-timers. Using critical thinking skills in decision-making allows me as a leader to identify problems and develop solutions advantageous during events. Decision-making by leaders must always be fair and objective and involve the use of appropriate language when communicating. I had to ensure part-timers could understand and fulfill my request.
