🍎🎓🏫We are celebrating back-to-school week by highlighting some career paths chosen by Ingen employees! Next up is Derek Waterman, our Director of Administration 🏺 Derek graduated High School from Raleigh, MS (Go Pharaohs!) 🛡️ Derek attended the The University of Memphis and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering Technology. 🐯 Derek then attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and completed his Masters in Aeronautical Science. 1️⃣Share something fun or interesting about your field or being the Director of Administration? I get to work with my wife, who is the best at keeping me sane at work. I could not do this without her. 2️⃣Why did you choose to work in Administration? I love numbers ... anything that deals with budgets, profit/loss, revenue, and other financial data and graphs. Plus I feel like I can improve the bottom line by driving decisions with facts. 3️⃣What is one highlight from your job that you want to share? I get to develop code for internal usage as well as our customers, sometimes more so than the administration work I am responsible for. 4️⃣What is one piece of advice you would give to anyone starting back to school this fall? Learn something new every day (even if it is small or unrelated to your studies) and have fun along the way.
