Now Delta Air Lines ... You and I both know the number one way to get in trouble is to treat people and situations differently when you really shouldn’t be. Your new policy banning all flag pens, except for US flag pens is clearly problematic for more reasons than I have characters to express! Let’s review things you could have done instead: 1. Ban all flag pins 2. Made a statement about supporting your workers and their right to choose to support various countries and causes as long as it doesn’t interfere with their ability to do their job. 3. Responded to the poster on X (formally Twitter) 4. Nothing....You could have done nothing. As an HR professional, I have always told leaders, you will get in more trouble by treating one employee poorly then you will by treating all employees poorly. obviously, the goal is to treat everyone well but the goal that supersedes that is to treat everyone fairly an equitably. https://lnkd.in/gv4j7Eia
