GUESS?, Inc. is proud to announce continued partnership with the Get In Touch Foundation and Pushing for Pink for #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth. GUESS Foundation donated to the Get In Touch Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to breast health education and empowering individuals through early detection tools like the Daisy Wheel, which guides breast self-exams. GUESS Foundation also donated to Pushing for Pink (P4P), a non-profit organization founded by a Los Angeles skate-based community that supports mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and grandmothers affected by breast cancer. Additionally, GUESS Cares brought back its annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and fundraiser at our Los Angeles headquarters in partnership with P4P. Employees walked proudly in pink and white t-shirts and scarves, representing our united effort to support those affected by breast cancer. All proceeds from the sale of these items benefited P4P’s Meals on Pink Wheels program, which provides nutritious meals to underserved individuals battling breast cancer. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making a meaningful difference! #GetinTouchFoundation #PushingForPink #GUESSFoundation #GUESSCares

Countdown to Impact: 5 Days Left in the April Head and Neck Cancer Alliance Move-a-thon 🏃♀️🙏 As the sun sets on this pivotal month, our shared journey of compassion and support takes on a more urgent pace. There are just 5 days left to contribute to a cause that’s much more than a statistic; it's a lifeline for those battling head and neck cancer. I set out with an ambition – a concise, yet significant goal of raising $150 through the Move-a-thon. This sum symbolizes hope – the equivalent of a night at a hotel for a travelling patient or easing the burden covering some essentials on treatment day. Each donation is a beacon of comfort, providing essentials like a gas card, parking, lunch, and sometimes the priceless gift of child care. While the road ahead is paved with possibility, the present moment reflects a challenging truth. I currently stand at 83% of my fundraising target. "The distance between where we are and where we aspire to be is measured not in miles but in moments of generosity." I humbly ask you to consider the value of your daily coffee – could it instead fund a gesture of immense value? A few dollars could mean the world to someone enduring the most challenging fight of their life. Together, we can fill these last few days with action and purpose. Let's rally to offer more than just relief; let’s provide a sanctuary of support for at least one patient in need. To donate, simply click on the link https://lnkd.in/e_d95i2c Your contribution, no matter the size, will weave into the tapestry of someone’s survival story. Let's make these remaining days count! Thank you for standing with me, for them. #HeadAndNeckCancer #HNCA #Moveathon #Support #Donate #CancerCare #MakeADifference

ONE OF MY TOP 3 -Best Business 2024 A construction company who withholds the challenges of supply chain issues, rising costs to build and continually shows up as a contributor to the wider community in a meaningful way. Why is it that builders are going under yet the Better Living Group can withhold those external forces and still find $100k to donate to Children's Cancer Charity and support Housing All Australians to house those in need? Put simply they care. They put people before profit. They stand for something greater than the bottom line which elevates them above industry standard. This is life-centric business strategy in action that I have been talking about for sometime. The Better Living Group are a glowing standard of operating according to their company values. Values that resonate in a meaningful way with the community, that gets them more business not because of what they do but because of WHO THEY ARE. You could not buy publicity like this for your company. It is not what they are seeking yet it is what they getting for being a beacon of hope in an industry that is falling apart at the seams. This is what draws the market closer to you when you make the decision to do what is right over what is self serving. It opens the door to opportunities, partnerships, collaborations that bring in more business -not through Ai tools, sponsored ads or writing meaningless content but by SHOWING their generosity of spirit, their craftsmanship in ways their competitors would only dream of. It's about being involved in the lives of your market in WAYS THAT MATTER. You don't see them post on construction finished or standing with an award as that is not relevant in today's market. That sort of thinking puts you in a sea of sameness. Congratulations Silvio Mazzei to the continuing work you do for us all here in Melbourne we appreciate you. A lot of other businesses could take a leaf out of your book. Take note Qantas, Coles, Woolworths. #businessstrategy #businesssuccess #construction

This is my ninth year participating in the annual Great Cycle Challenge to raise money to fight children’s cancer. Cancer in children is different from cancers that develop later in adults. As a result, the side effects of typical adult cancer treatments cause more harm to children because children’s bodies are still growing and developing. One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive, and for those who do, by the age of fifty, more than 99% of survivors had a chronic health problem, and 96% have experienced a severe or life-threatening condition. Unfortunately, funding for childhood cancer is less than 10 percent of the dollars the federal government makes available for research into adult cancers which is why raising funds is so important. One in four families lose more than 40% of their annual household income because of childhood cancer treatment-related work disruption, while one in three families face other work disruptions such as having to quit or change jobs. Please donate to my ride by visiting https://lnkd.in/gpaA9A5.

As many of you know, I’ve been fundraising for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a cause incredibly close to my heart after my battle with breast cancer two years ago. Check out the pic of my fantastic accountability “team” and me at the finish line! A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported me! Whether you donated, shared my page, or just sent a word of encouragement, it all made a difference. I started with a modest goal of £100, which we smashed in just a few hours! We even blew past the revised goal of £350, finishing at a whopping £435! Last year, I chickened out of similar events. Excuses galore – wouldn’t finish, raise enough, or even make it on time! This year, I decided to “walk the walk” (pun intended!). In my coaching sessions, I often ask clients, “What will you gain from standing still?” It was time for me to take my own advice. Here’s what got me across the finish line: 🚶♀️#Accountability: Sharing my goal with friends, family, and even social media kept me on track. 🚶♀️#RealisticGoals: Starting small and building momentum helped me stay motivated. 🚶♀️#Teamwork: Supporting my 8-year-old partner in crime with cheers like “Keep on keeping on!” and “Just a little further for that ice cream!” towards the end. This experience proves that sometimes, all it takes is the first step, even when you doubt yourself. If you’re inspired and would like to donate, you can still contribute to this amazing cause: https://lnkd.in/ewhB2bKe Thanks again for your incredible support! #MarsdenMarch #SMARTGoals #Resilience #SelfDoubt #Takingthefirststep

🎗️ As #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth wraps up, the mission to educate, support, and take proactive health actions should continue—beyond October. Ways to Drive Impact Throughout the Year: 1️⃣ Self-Care: Stay informed about your health by knowing what’s normal for your body, performing regular self-checks, and keeping up with mammograms. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., early detection improves outcomes and saves lives. 2️⃣ Support: Consider donating to organizations like Susan G. Komen, National Breast Cancer Foundation and Pickups for Breast Cancer, which funds programs through donated clothing and household items. Contributions fuel research and provide resources for those in need. 3️⃣ Spread Awareness: Openly sharing knowledge and starting conversations reduces stigma and brings us closer to the future where no one faces this battle alone. Through these efforts, we support individuals impacted by breast cancer and contribute to prevention through education and early detection. Consider sharing this post to help spread awareness and inspire others to take action year-round #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetectionMatters #ThinkPink

IBI Corporate Finance powered by DC Advisory is delighted to support Solas Cancer Support Centre in Waterford through a donation of €10,000 to help in its work supports and services to people affected by cancer in the South-East. Each year, staff in IBI are invited to nominate charities which they believe are deserving of support and then make a presentation to the wider firm to try to have their nomination endorsed. This year, Conor Hoban’s pitch for Solas won out. Ann Marie Power, Communications and Fundraising Co-ordinator, explains how the support from IBI will make a difference, “We are very grateful to all the team in IBI for this substantial contribution. These funds will be used to help fund our support services in 2025. This year, we’ve seen a 25% increase in demand for our services and for the first time the cost of operating the service will reach €1 million. We are proud to be able to meet this demand and offer a broad range of support. The Solas Cancer Support Centre is based in Williamstown, Waterford City and in a Dungarvan-based centre that supports clients in west Waterford. The service offers a range of free supports, including counselling, complementary therapies, art psychotherapy, children and adolescent services, acupuncture, bereavement support, information and printed booklets, along with wellness programmes and information sessions”. #MakingAGreatDealHappen #corporatesocialresponsibility #cancer #charitablegiving
