After 8 weeks of virtual collaboration following a design thinking curriculum, Team4Tech staff and 10 employee volunteers from Guidewire Software from India, Ireland, Spain, and the US are on-site in Kolkata, India to implement solutions for Ek Tara, an NGO empowering girls through quality education and livelihood opportunities. To accelerate Ek Tara’s impact, our volunteer team will support implementation around monitoring and evaluation—providing platform support, developing user guides and training for staff and educators, and sharing guidance for decision-making based on the data collected. Volunteers will also create training materials around digital literacy and audiovisual usage to support Ek Tara’s educators. This work is supported by the Guidewire Gives Back Program, enabling Guidewire employees to drive meaningful change in local communities where they live and work. Team4Tech is proud to connect Guidewire staff with an NGO aligned with the program’s key focus areas—supporting education in technology for underserved communities and supporting those in need due to violence, natural disasters, and lack of daily living resources.
